Damn, that needs a turbo now. That would be so sweet! Aren’t you the mobtown guy? Should have the fab skills to set it up around a nice Garrett or Borg Warner spinner. Seen a few guys on here with turbo 2TR’s. Don’t waste your money on the URD header or supercharger. The SC is stupid expensive and you’ll still be left by buddies in a V6 and the headers alone won’t help Nearly enough For all that added weight!

I can fab stuff but I wouldn’t know where to start with a turbo. But, maybe in a few years!

Anyone have any input on making the single FJ t-case stick work with a manual? The shifters are hitting each other and it’s hitting the side of the console.

@6 gearT444E has a manual and some extra sticks so maybe he can chime in.

several tips. Get some 1/2” round bar stock, and have patience. Cut, weld, grind, test, heat, bend, cut, weld, test, repeat until you able to shift into all the gears in every combo. No magic trick, just takes time. Also will depend where you want the levers to come up and how much of a perfectionist you are with the interior.

Dammit. I knew this would be the answer. But was hoping someone would surprise me.

I think I have a plan to easily get everything to work but 5th gear in 4LO. I Don’t think I’ll need 5th in 4LO.

there was a fellow Mark that was making short shift kits for the FJ cases too but I don’t think that exists anymore. @HomerTaco has his setup. There may be a compromise as you have seen, where the nice to have vs realistic gears you will use might have to take a back burner. Yea 5th in 4LO you might as well be in 4hi 1st or second gear.

Would be cool is someone made a kit so you shift into and out of low range on the fly. Having 10 gears would be cool.

    In order of ratio:

    1L, 2L, 1H, 3L, 4L, 2H, 5L, 3H, 4H, 5H
