The app i use to calculate mileage tells me i'm getting 18-19 mpg..... lies or truth? I'm on 285s with heavy front and rear bumpers, and i'm not a slow driver.

Wired in and mounted my smittybilt compressor on the truck. Beats having to carry around the bag and setting it up on the ground. I was able to use the stock rubber pads it came with and all of the hardware. I added some washers prior to where the lock nuts hit the sheet metal for added security.

Hey everybody. Just saying hi, I've been spending way to much money on other things and the tacoma hasn't gotten any love. I'm still snooping on this page though. That is all.

I know what you mean! I had a 3000gt way back in the day and had component tweeters in the top of the dash and mids and lows in the doors. Wasnt as fancy as yours by any means but listening to my favorite music took in a whole new life, hearing things i never heard before. It really opened up my eyes to the difference a better sound system can make.

Hey Rick- The Femco plug is brass vs. steel for the factory one, so that's probably why it has a reduced torqued value. My container spec'd 12 ft. lbs. and that's what I torqued mine to. I checked it every day for a week after the install for leaks and I've not had any issues.

There is a guy I work with that has had a Femco plug installed for a while now. He torqued his 12 ft. lbs as well and has not had any issues either.

Well, all I can think is my label has the wrong torque value. 12 N is not even a torque value according to what I have been reading. A torque value (metric in this case) always is in N m or Newton-meter, so is obvious to me that I ended up with the wrong label.

I have a FEMCO P/N 7090010151 - M12 X 1.25 T9 compact plug, like you and your coworker, so I’m going with what you guys have - 12 ft lbs

    Thanks for the help!!

    Cheers.

    Rick

We don't have the option to get disconnects our sway bars are in a bad place and cant be moved out of the way to prevent interference with suspension travel. Either gotta rock it or pull it.

St Maxx on Trd pro wheels, mbrp exhaust, k&n cai, jba's, 887's over 5100's, medium dakars and 5125's.
I’ve just done all this myself. Never done anything on a vehicle before aside from wiring a stereo and changing fluids.
    Leaf packs - 3 hours
    Rear 5125’s - 40 mins
    UCA’s - 2.5 hours
Only thing I got the shop to do was take off the oem coil springs from the struts and put 885’s around the 5100’s. Could’ve done myself but I wasn’t working on a completely level area and didn’t want to fuck about.
Consider saving yourself $864 with minor tools.

I have more storage than what the oem storage bins offered since I removed them. I have about 6 inches of clearance between the rear cab wall an the top vertical part of the platform, and roughly 10 inches at the bottom behind the folded seats.

Really like it. How is that piece attached? Is it hinged or does it just sit in there? What is it made out of? I don't like that when my back seat is folded that the stuff back there is visible or won't stay put.

I have a cheaper install set up for Monday at another garage. I don't have the tools or patience to try this by myself. There would be massive amounts of man-tantrums (mantrums?) and tools flying through the air.

These are going to rust as soon as it rains. Ultra black corrosion resistant stuff is fine and so is black phosphate/oxide coated stainless but plain black over non-stainless steel = rust
