Is it still coming from the passenger mine comes from the driver side but they refuse to touch due to aftermarket suspension and wheels

Are the red ones or the black one's better? I've got a clunk in the front. I had my guy check all the stuff he did (new shocks and new rear springs). He said everything is tight and can't find anything.

I've got almost 60K miles on my truck.

I tried changing mine yesterday. Everything was all good until it was time to put the bolt through the holes on the driver side. I had to uber to work because I couldn’t get the bolt through :rofl::rofl:

Was it hard replacing them and what bushing did you use?

    I’m using energy suspension bushing P/N 9.4101G
It’s pretty simple, the only hard part was lining up the holes from the body to the frame.

Did you notice anything that didn’t line up like the hood after the install?

I thought the same thing but it turned out it was my hood that was squeaking. It started after I did the bushings. I cleaned and adjusted the feet on the underside of the hood and the problem went away.

I had the same problem on the same side! Frustrating as hell but I eventually got it in place with a big prybar and a buddy to drop the bolt in. HUGE PITA though. Really happy with the install overall, 2 hours all told on that job and no more noise, plus a little bit more planted feeling when cornering. My best guess is that the ole rubber bushings were allowing lots of up and down movement where the ES bushings are much harder and really hold things together tightly.
Quick question, did you use some grease before install? I wiped a very thin layer of white lithium grease on the tops and bottoms of both bushings before install and havent heard a peep out of them since.

Kinda sounds like your U-bolts may have stretched a bit or come loose? You might try checking those. Otherwise, it may be your driveshaft angle but I would check the U-bolts first!

I think I found the culprit. Dakar leaf is hitting and cutting into hanger. I'll check the U-bolts as well. Thanks.

12,000 miles on my 2019. Wasn't hearing a squeak, just more of a muffled metal knocking sound while off-road going above above about 15 mph. Both sides were completely worn through with rub marks on the metal sleeves. I could grab the body just above the mount and pull it front to rear and recreate the sound, also noticing a lot of movement for just pulling it by hand.
New bushings provide a MUCH more solid mount. As many mentioned, the driver's side was hard to pass the bolt through. I definitely believe there's some kind of issue at the factory with not building the front support squarely. Maybe the actual frame brackets have been coming off the line in a slightly wrong position.
Anyway, glad I found this thread. Super easy job and great results.

:thumbsup::thumbsup:Hell yes! Those are some weak-ass bushings Toyota puts on them. I did the same thing, saw similar wear on mine, both worn through.

My clunking continued until this morning. A buddy of mine (after all the troubleshooting I’ve done over the past months) asked me, “have you ruled out the skid plates?”

Me, “no, figured that wasn’t very likely.”

So I loosened them...Tah-dah!!!! GDF-ing noise is gone.

Before some wise-aker asks, yes, I did tighten them back up

With 89k miles on my original bushings I finally replaced them last weekend and I gotta say, I'm really pleased with the results as well. OEM bushings were completely tore through, metal on metal rubbing primarily on driver side as well as others have mentioned. Was a huge pain getting the driver side bushing in because the mounting holes were that far off, but now that everything is back together it feels great and much less squeaky noises as well. Not perfect, as I suspect the main cab mounts, transmission isolator, and maybe engine mounts may also need some love but for now it's much better and I'll hold off on the others until I have more concrete symptoms as currently I'm just noticing odd feels when shifting or stepping on the gas while coasting, or going into reverse as well.

Did they end up looking at the bushings?

Yes. They confirmed at the 10,000 mile service that the front body bushings were the culprit. They ordered them and replaced them. Seems like they still may have been making noise so the dealership had to reach out to Toyota to see what else to do. They were advised to shift the body on the frame. I got the truck back and no issues so far, granted it took about 3000 miles before the bushings started to act up
