Worst Navigation ever

I've been using mine since 2015, never installed anything on my phone

 

I think this is a non TRD model thing

 

Damn, I wish Google maps had that option.

 

The ‘A’ pillar mount mod mentioned on this site is better.

 

Idk that mod but ive been loving my Magic Mount from target

 

Here is what I get when I try to use Navigation,





I don't see any other options for navigation. 2019 SR5 with whatever radio came with it.

I'll read through the radio manual later on today and see if I'm missing something. Unless someone can point me in the right direction.

 

Like Spare Parts said above, it must be a non-TRD model thing that you need the app installed.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking since that is the other style of head unit.

 

As I think about it, my friend's TRD didn't seem to need an app. No big deal as Waze works really great. I can only figure out how to get the directions to stop muting BT music. The directions come through the phone speaker, but it also mutes the GPS. I hate that.

 

Do any of you use Waze? I like the user interface and knowing where police could be as well as hazards and stalled traffic and reroute.

 

I used it once a few years ago on my way back from the East Coast. We were able to shave a few hours off the trip time

 

Sorry to break it to you, grandpa, but we've been relying on technology to find our way for thousands of years.

 

The compass and sextant were high tech at one time. Not to mention the clock, which made navigation a precise process rather than a guess.

 

Can’t forget your trucks pace count, make sure to write it on your visor so you don’t forget

 

I’m more high speed than that. Imma tie my pace counting beads to the rear view mirror. 17 beads for almost 1 mile per reset

I personally use an astrolabe, and keep a backup in my backup toolbox.

I know all you millennials trust your fancy sextants, but not me.

 

I keep astroglide in my emergency kit also
