    Problem solved:
300 ft/lbs, red loctite on the threads and replace the o-ring with jbweld. No more leaks.

Plugs came in. I like that there are two sizes since large did not fit me. The lanyard thing was harder to use but I got it comfy finally. Hopefully can test this weekend.

Well the side by side would be a turbo :)

But I think I'd get more use from a ZH2... I did about 3,000 miles on my speed triple in 3 months. So I definitely like to ride. Idk how often I would get out to sand dunes or moab for side by side fun. Plus.. can always rent, thrash, return. Lol.

I paid the BMW tax today :annoyed:

$314 to replace the heaters and handlebar grips. Someone at ma motorrad decided it'd be a great idea to bond the handlebar rubber to the heating element. I tried last fall to carefully cut off the old grips and replace them with some nice thick progrips but failed and juuuust barely sliced the heating element on the left side and I haven't been able to get it to work reliably since.

Winters coming and I need that sweet sweet hand heat.

Tested out my new highway pegs today. They felt great aside from how slippery they were (no fault to @GHOST SHIP on that). On my way home I stopped at a skate shop to get some grip tape to put on and it just happened to be that as I got in, the guy was setting up someone’s new board and had scraps laying around. Took it home and cut it as best I could and slapped it on. It feels a bit better already but I’ll get a real test for it hopefully this weekend. If it’s still too slippery, I’ll likely order some grips and put those on as Sergio made it out of 1” tubing.

Finally threw on some new ebc brake pads on the cbr1000 what a difference they made.
There was plenty of pad left on the old set but they just didn't have any bite to them. Like night and day difference with the ebc pads

I had a convo with my Triumph buddy who bought an H2 SX SE like 2 years ago.

Big mistake. ZH2 is on the "to buy" list.

I got my bike back out of storage a few days ago and gave it a good re-break in today and did 350 miles around the Colorado mountain backroads over seven hours of riding. I keep not doing it but I really need to spend the $500 and get a better seat. Averaged 61mpg on the backroads which plummeted to 39mpg at 80mph on the highway shooting back home before the sun went down.

Not sure what bike you're on but think about a true custom seat. I have a Laam custom seat on my FJR1300 and 1k mile days are no big deal. He takes your stock seat pan and reworks it with different foams to give you exactly what you want. There are other custom seat builders out there too but I'm real happy with his work and I have under $500 in mine.
