The instructions that come with the AEM nozzle have a table that indicates I should aim for 826ml/min at my power levels o_O

    Nice! Do eeet.

I currently have two 320 ml/min nozzles but want to go through the Aquamist calculations again. When I did it before I was estimating my hp and that's changed a bunch since I installed the kit. Also, the calculation and associated chart was not the easiest to follow.

I have enough higher flowing nozzles to do up a Ferrari. I'm running the smallest ones I have right now.

Wow, how did you get so many nozzles?

I don't know if more is better, but less than needed is definitely bad!

Time to stock up on the washer fluid.

Gonna stick to the calculated values.

My kit came with three pairs of higher flowing nozzles than what I needed. I had to purchase two slightly lower flowing nozzles for my estimated HP at the time.

Going to recalculate my values at some point and one of my nozzles maybe will bump up a size.

I'm running just a single, lonely 375ml nozzle. Temps get below freezing in the winter Jan-Feb ish but I'll be driving my 4runner and the truck will be on garage duty.

Are there any guidelines with the snow kit or is it trial and error?

It's interesting that you are running almost half what my system recommends.

Off topic, but do you drive your truck year-round and through winter? Do they salt the piss out of the roads in winter like we do here in Michigan? Wreaks havoc on underbodies of cars. I bought a fluid film kit for my daily driver 01 4runner, but it needs some rust busting done before I even spray it.

My city started salting the roads for the first time about 3 years ago. I didn't have any corrosion issues, but there was soooo much complaining from citizens, they stopped salting last winter - and the city got all passive aggressive and didn't bother to even put sand down in a lot of places that they used to.

This is nozzle sizing from the Snow instructions. I went off the 400-600hp range for the 375ml nozzle.Screenshot_20200924-161708_Drive.jpg

I remember this chart too. I went with double what Snow wanted because of some article I read online somewhere. The AEM and Aquamist appear to be about double what Snow says in this table....

My truck definitely doesn't bog or lose power with what I'm spraying.

Neither. I even get a surge in power when the progressive system comes online.

I work for the transportation dept and we hardly use sand at all. Just a ton of salt every snowfall or after freezing rain. Backroads and rural routes not so much, but city drivers expect to go 85mph on the freeways year-round.

I just pulled the trigger on a #6 nozzle. Figure i can turn it down a little bit, but have more out of a single nozzle than im getting wiht my #5 currently. May drop a pulley size too, on a 2.6 right now to be conservative

Nice. But why didn't you go with the AEM series 3 nozzle????

I started with 375ml because I was worried about spraying too much at low RPM. I'm running the 2.5 pulley with 10psi max boost. I initially set my spray to start at 5psi but bumped it up to 6psi because I was still in the 3300-3500 rpm range at 5psi. I noticed some bogging on my launches at the sand drags.

Snow recommended injection above these rpms, but that's hard to avoid with the smaller pulleys on a full stop launch.

being that we are likely the only ones doing this to this motor ive had a hard time finding a point of reference.
