Charlotte, NC area: hate on OP, houses, boats & hoes

Housing inventory is down about 35-45% year over year here. It was already down a little from the prior year, but it’s STUPID the amount of inventory at the present. Multiple offers over list seems to be the norm currently

 

Mine wants to go look at this place, despite us being told it would be difficult to get a mortgage with our current liabilities each month.

Don’t take the highest, take the strongest and most likely to close. Realtor should help you vet them.

 

Yep. Let it ride through Sunday. Pick a handful of the strongest offers then ask them to all put forth their best offer by Monday night, and make a decision on Tuesday.

The house we sold in 2016 had 75 showings in three days, ended up with 25 offers.

 

@SearArtist if get this far in the process, I’d recommend getting a pool company to do an inspection in addition to your regular home inspection

I don't like that house. The garage is a hot mess and there is zero space between houses...it is right across the road from the lake, and has a pool, but I personally think it's overpriced by around $50k.

 

Yeah, people are nasty and do not give a shit. it is sad.

Hard to say, looking at the recently sold, prices are all over the map

 

Wheeling in harlan is the same way. My friend put it perfectly: "you remember the scene in terminator 2 when the t1000 is stepping on a skull and crushing it? Thats what harlan is like except it's a mud tire and a bud light can!"

I have never been to tellico before it closed, but someone was telling me it was like wheeling in a scrap yard.

 

It's just ridiculous.. and if you step a few feet off into the woods, there is shitty TP everywhere.. People suck

 

I've popped two tires offroad. Once was some scrap steel trash left on the trail, once was a broken glass bottle that got on the sidewall.
