Don't make us beg for the info... How was the install? Just you installing or did you owe someone a few beers? Is it truly waterproof all the way around? What's your favorite feature? Anything you think that you'd change in a 2.0 version of the cap?

Free shipping to your home because it probably cost $500 for the size of the pallet it came on.

how do you think those gaskets are going to hold up in the long run. Are they gaskets like what seals your car doors or are the gaskets foam that may need to be replaced in 5 years +/-?

@msommer1420 same questions to you. Seems like @StephenC504 may be having too much fun with his new shell (don't blame him one bit).

Assembly was pretty straightforward, installing it i had a buddy help me but could've used a 3rd person and so far no leaks and I live about 25 miles northeast of Seattle and we just got 2in of rain in 2 days . For 2.0 I would like to see the new latches that could open from the inside.

No way to lock from the inside? Ouch... You sleep under it yet? If so, any issues with condensation?

No, I have a teardrop trailer that I sleep in but someone else brought the point of them not being able to open from the inside

Thanks. Good to know about the ability of being locked in. I’ve seen posts of people feeling like they were sleeping in a coffin... This might be too real for some folks.

@TacoNoVeggies im not sure who it was but they were able to reach out the window from the inside and open the latches on the windows outside. So I think the likelihood of being locked in is slim.

Received my cap yesterday installed today in a few hours.

Install was very straight forward, follow the instructions and you'll have no problems at all. Fit and finish is fantastic, lines between panels are uniform, hardest part is the fastener clips on the front and rear flanges. When I say hard I just mean a bit more time consuming than just a nut and a bolt.

All parts were accounted for, box was in good shape. Overall happy with my decision of this purchase so far. We will see if that changes with use.

I also put a small rubber gasket between those plastic bed rails and the bedsides to try and seal it a bit better, when I had my tonneau cover water would always come through that spot so hopefully that does the trick. I'll keep posting updates with my thoughts on it. IMG_20200926_155816.jpg

Also to reply to the conversation on getting out of the topper unless you have locked your sides and don't have a key with you in the topper and shut yourself in or somebody closes the latches on you you'll always be able to stick your arm out the sliding window to open a gullwing on either side and get out. The sliders open from the inside. Someone would have to lock you in to be stuck in.

Got mine in Friday. Having trouble getting the side panels in tight enough to the roof for the end panels to line up. Any tips would be appreciated

Mine were a little tough, good tip I found was to have whoever is helping hold the panel while you work front to back tapping it with the palm of your hand. Just make sure all your tabs are aligned properly and it will go. Also, my gaps on the first panel were kind of big so once I got the second one on which went on great. I went through and got the left panel fully flush. I think the added weight helped. Hope this helps.
