I have been looking for an "external" cassett deck for the truck. I have a ton of cassetts that would really be nice to listen to in the truck.

I have the AUX jack that I use to plug my MP3 player into, and it would work perfectly with a cassett deck. Hell, even a Walkman/casssett player will work. Just can't find one. I know someone has to make and sell one, I'm not the only person who has cassetts.

I looked at Radio Shack (yeah I know), Best Buy, even Sears, no luck.

Does anyone know where one can be found?

Wow....haven't seen a cassette deck in a long time.

Are you sure you couldn't find the same music (MP3's or whatever) online or through some friends....to convert to CD's (per say)?

I have shit-tons of tapes too, but I either don't miss the music or have already converted to newer formats. The personal tape mixes It took some time to find the music, but I got most of it.

Did you try craigslist or ebay?

Yeah, I thought about converting them to CD. Easiest way would be to do it one at a time as I needed them, but I would have to bowrow a burner...I don't have one, but then I would have it for a long time. Buying one is out of the question...I net 606.00 a month right now.

And down loading the music to my Ipod...I refuse to pay for something I already own.

The easiest and quickest way is just buying a cassett deck. lol

I would think that garage sales are your best bet.

x2 However, if this is what you prefer, you may be best served yanking the original deck, and put a used single din aftermarket cassette player. Check ebay.

To the OP: search online. Other sites exist (but you didn't hear that from me) ;)
