Hey there guys, we hope everyone's week is going well so far! Our team gets constant inquiries in regards to the PrinSu Roof Racks and I know there are existing threads out there offering great information. However, it made me think back to a quick blog we created in the past and I figured I would provide it here for those who have interest in them. It's our goal to provide quality content that other forum members can chime in on. Have you personally owned a PrinSu Roof Rack? If so, did it meet your expectations? Feel free to get involved and post up your review for others!

Please feel free to reach out to our team if you ever have any questions, as we have a ton of experience with their products. In addition, we can answer questions related to other roof racks as well if needed as we also work with Sherpa, upTOP, and a few others!

    Best Regards,

    -TJ

I owned both the Front Runner Slimline II and now the Prinsu (purchased from Truck Brigade). They are two completely different products in my opinion.

Looks: The Front Runner was a totally utilitarian look. It didn't flow with any of the lines of the Tacoma. It looked like my truck was wearing a top hat. The Prinsu blends in perfectly while still catching your eye. It's not wild-looking and the cross bars present nicely.

Use: They both will do exactly what you want them to do and are fully customizable. I think the Prinsu was easier to work with as far as mounting lights and running wires. The FR is so beefy you can drill whatever you want into it wherever you'd like. The Prinsu cross bars are sometimes a PITA to run hardware through but once it's in, it's in.

Durability: The powder coating on the FR was superior to the Prinsu. Not saying the Prinsu is bad, it's just not as thick/forgiving. Both can haul lumber without issue. I even had heavy steel plate house decorations loaded on with no problems.

Noise: With the noise trim on both racks they were about the same during normal driving. Cross winds I think the FR was a bit louder.

Value: I purchased the FR used (Like 99% of my stuff). I got the Prinsu on a discount. They are both worth the money. I've seen the Hooke Road version and two other brands in person and I wouldn't go those directions. I got a great deal on the FR and sold it a few years later for almost exactly what I paid. They sell new for about $1000 and sell used for around $600 if in good shape. It didn't take but long to find a buyer. Prinsu stuff you can sell same day for almost exactly what you paid for it.

Overall: I really like the Prinsu. It's super useful and looks great. Truck Brigade is the best place to purchase due to cost, speed of shipping and customer service.
