To be clear, I never defended his wording to drive up social media traffic for himself. I merely defended him WRT to WHEN he puts out his content. On Facebook, therealtacopro came off strongly, demanding (imo) that my friend not wait 2 months for his thoroughly and complete video review and that he instead release the dyno info and 0-60 now since he should already have it.

That's why I stated that he doesn't have to at all. This whole thing would be like when I get my truck dyno'd after I get the turbos, and then someone demanded that I release that info right away even I myself intend to wait for a period of time for a thorough review. These kits don't only come down to power made. Daily drivability is another factor that people want to know about.

Would I have driven up social media traffic for myself? Personally, no. But that is independent of the other side of what's being discussed: the release of the information he has.

Fair enough, thanks for clarifying. I haven't seen the FB thread, and did not understand why you were using the wording that you were using.

Your friend can post whatever they want, whenever they want. Some may not agree with that, but that is their problem. Your friend isn't responsible for others expectations or feelings.

If I went back and read the post, idk which group it's in now, but if I went back and re-read the comments and determined that they really weren't demanding, I'd freely apologize. :notsure: I'm not above that.

But as you said, it's not my friend's responsibility to cater to others, and defending that isn't something I'll apologize for. :notsure::thumbsup:

I'm all for full disclosure. This is the post:

I don't know that I was demanding. Highly skeptical and fairly pointed. Either way, his response says it all about what kind of person he is.

My jaw hit the floor about 15yrs or so ago when the radio called Van Halen classic. It hurt because the memory of buying those tape new was still fresh. Fuck . . .

I was about to post the same thing, then decided to read the next page of the thread first. Really hit home the first time I heard Nirvana on the local "classic rock" station.
