Good question, first time in a long time I've had to mess with them

Not sure. The one time I had to replace one was my 88 Chevy Celebrity which was in the column but not near the shifter itself.

I'm split. To me a nice lake house is old and shitty and might fall down next winter.

    LOTS O' CHARM.

These newer ones don't move my needle.

That's how we lucked out with our house! We went to an open house nearby, and found this one also had an open house same day, so whatever, might as well give it a whirl. We're here anyway.

    O.O

Big ass back yard (1/3 acre in East Prov, that's big...for here....), great house, everything was immaculate. The only thing we did was paint the kitchen white, because it was mustard yellow. NOTHING "wrong" with it. Pictures were junk.

Now though, looking at this listing too, there's a bunch of agents getting cheap drones on Amazon and they get horrible pictures but they're drone pictures so, gotta have em!

    o_O that's a good one though.

I'd love a lake house, but I don't think I have the want to have two houses. If I'm going to live on a lake, it'll be a full time situation, not a "weekend" house. Especially in RI, the good areas are either beaches in south county which are $$$$$$ or way far north, like middle to northern NH/VT. Awesome place, but 3 hours each way.

Western RI has some woods, could make sense - a lake in Burriville or something, BUT it's only 45 minutes from work....so rather than have a second house...we'd just move there and drive to work.....Burriville is pretty much the middle of providence and worcester, a hair over 30 minutes either way. I've looked at some stuff out there, it is tempting. That said, every so often being in/near a city is nice.

Just the fishing. It's a great lake for recreational boating. Fantastic even. But the fishing has gone to shit. It's one of the many lakes in NH that the biologists thought would be worth trying to maintain as a coldwater fishery, but turns out not so much. Too many warmwater species have access to that region. Too much development around with poor drainage management as well. Nice lake for a family though, one that likes skiing or tubing. F'n bios spent $150k a year on that lake for 15 years and the salmon fishing there has always sucked.

Are there any gotchas to the NH Vehicle inspection or is it pretty straightforward? I just got my plates and need to take it in.

The last time this thing was inspected was in 2007 when I drove it off the lot, lol. I've been spoiled by keeping AK plates on it.

Could be wrong but I think basically anything electrical that's in/on the car needs to work, no cracked lenses on lights, pretty sure even if you have a light bar or anything similar and even 1 bulb is out they could fail you.

Yeah pretty much. Any lights other than the headlights - just cover up. Like ditch lights, leave them covered for inspection. If they're uncovered they can fail because they're lights above/below legal height requirements.

Thanks. No extraneous lights and what I have works pretty much as advertised. Going to try to sneak in at Wilson Tire in Plymouth in the morning. Everyone else I called is booked way out there, and now I'm a cop magnet with NH plates and no sticker.

It's OK, but not my cup'o'tea.

After living fairly close to neighbors all my life, I need a few acres or more for a buffer zone. Don't really care to see a fairly close house next-door anymore. That's a big factor when I'm ready to relocate.
Sort of like the Cemetery House in NH from a few weeks back. BTW, that one sold in about 4 days.
