I contacted Deaver this morning regarding a custom leaf pack. The j66 from deaver will be too soft and the U402 stage 1 will be too firm/too much lift. I told them I want something that provides 1.5"-2" lift with 0 extra weight in the back but won't sag too much when I put in 200-300 pounds of wheeling/camping gear. We'll see what they say.

Then eventually when I receive the new leafs, I'll send off my shocks to accutune to get rebuilt and tuned. One of the rears is leaking a little bit at the bottom and the fronts are approaching 50k miles. I'm knocking all this stuff out now so she'll be ready to hit the trails again next year.

    Love me a K12.

Even more fun when you tell a rookie it's possible to "bump start" one by running the blade along the ground.

Daniel, I've got a rotary buffer and some rubbing compounds. If you bring it over this weekend, we could give it an honest effort.

We don't have any fun hazing rituals in the accounting world, and it shows.

Meanwhile, my natty guard buddy just sent me a video of their fresh outta flight school LT standing in front of their chopper with a big sheet of tin foil to "test the radar".

At my company hazing consists of how many times you can be told to suck a coworkers dong in graphic detail until you become homicidal. I had to let somebody go this morning.

 Did you let the suck-er or the suck-ee go? Very important detail.

He was a suck-er. For real man, I can't be on a job with one of my foremen for more than like 10 minutes without him filling in a gap in conversation with, "Hey did you want "X laborer" to go ahead and take you behind the building and....."

I'da let the suckee go for not having thick enough (fore)skin.

But then again, that stuff gets REALLY annoying after not too long, so I guess your choice makes sense too.

Ha! Oh, I think you misunderstood. The sexual harassment is promoted here. I let him go for 3 unexcused absences in the last 5 days.....
Hahaha. Construction is a whole other world.

Ha! He was too busy behind the lumber pile to show up for work.

Yeah, I worked construction for a little bit and spent enough time knockin around DOD facilities to be fluent in tasteful harassment.

I may. I do like their orbit eyes.

edit: nevermind, won't work in stock hangers and shackles.

Orbit eyes may not, but they do offer springs that will. Best friend in AL is running a custom pack from them and constantly brags about how he loves it.

From what I've seen, they're pretty good but the price is right up there with deaver so at that point I'd rather just get deaver. I've priced out alcans before and it's right at a grand, including shipping.

Why not just Plastidip it white? A half a day, some cold brewskies and it would look brand new and keep you cooler in the summer. You wouldn't even need to remove the roof rack. But if you were ambitious, you could wrap it yourself. Remove the roof rack, there is rubber trip around the window in the back you can tuck it into, and a nice grove in the front you could tuck it into, and then add a piece of rubber to hold it in. The same thing they use to hold screen in screen windows, only larger diameter. Once the roof rack was back on you'd never see the sides.

The roof is a series of compound curves. It's a serious pain in the dick, a lot worse than it looks. I'd hit it with the derpsauce before I tried to wrap it myself. Plus dip can be resprayed, and vinyl will just tear. Based on the pinstripes I see, he may want that.

From what @Darkgoatracer Nick told me it's really not as hard as it looks. He said as long as you don't stretch it too thin and use a heat gun it goes on fairly easy. Plastidip would the easiest and my choice though.
