Yep. Just one of the good lessons I took away from my time.

 

I’m saying there are times that your attitude has to show you aren’t playing games. Many people call that being a dick. If you let the inmates walk all over you then it becomes a dangerous position.

 

I hope he gets it and does well. Just don’t want him getting run over so to speak.

 

Well a lot of criminals dont respond to kindness. Jailers got to keep order and respect.

 

In a culture so heavily based on respect, purposely disrespecting people under your control to appear superior becomes a dangerous situation.

 

I'm not sure where I said you have to kill them with kindness, but if that's really what you get out of my post, I'm not sure I can help you understand it.

 

There's a type of assertiveness that's hard to explain.
