For sure. That's why I want to stay at 2" or under with and AAL. I don"t want to deal with all the other stuff with lifting over 2.5". I want good suspension with a little lift, while still maintaining some decent gas mileage. I'm throwing a RTT on my shell and want to be able to off road and camp away from the crowds!! Picking up the RTT today, then lift after I see how much the rear ends sags with the weight.

Adding a 1"-1.5" spacer lift in the front would be an easy cheap addition that would allow for additional clearance and level the truck. I added a 2" in my new 2020 Tacoma TRD and it drives just the same as it did the day I drove it off the lot. Had the dealer check the alignment while it was in for service and they said it was perfect. Easy DIY job plus allows you to learn the truck which will be helpful if you have to make any repairs from any wheeling mishaps lol. I do not recommend 2" unless you are going to lift the rear back up. I am soon adding an add a leaf so will end up around factory rake again.

Any chance you have any pictures of your truck you can upload? I lifted my front 2" which is slightly higher than level and want to put an AAL.

gotcha. Mine come out just a bit, right to the fender flare, I didn’t quite describe that the right way. Not a fan of that huge “poke” either. I’ve been thinking of going to the skinnies as well. More sidewall and another 1/2” up I think. The first rock rash on the aftermarkets hurts, after that you don’t sweat it. Haha.

Mine haven't rubbed until today. Full lock to the left, inside tire hitting the frame on drivers side all of a sudden. Never did before. Not sure why.

Did you just lift it? Perhaps things are settling a bit?

No. I did a long drive to LA to pick up a RTT yesterday. It did it when I pulled into the parking lot, as well as, when I got home after 2.5 hours on the road. I can't see where it rubbed and I can't get it to duplicate today. So I just ordered 6112's, 5150's and an AAL. HAHA. Should be in mid October.

Are these the 16X8 F5s with zero offset?

My 265/75/16 Duratracs looked nicely stuffed in there. Now with the 2" lift, a taller tire would look even better.

TRD: Lift, Exhaust, Air Intake, Skid Plate & "Beadlock" wheels. Batman sticker. 255/85R16 Toyo MTs. Debadged. H9s.
My wife's 2019 Double Cab Sport came from the factory with the very light duty 265/65R17 tires, and the Sport wheels with 30 mm offset. Current setup is Off-Road wheels with BFG AT K02s in 265/75R16. The OR wheels have a 25 mm offset, so the centers of the tires on the ground are 5 mm further "out" and 13 mm further "down" than stock (~1/4" and 1/2" for you Americans) which means a few of her steering angles are very similar to stock, and the extra 25 mm of sidewall seems to compensate for the stiffness of the 10-plies.

Personally, I think they look great and there are zero clearance issues. Highly recommend this as a nearly ideal setup for a driver who is mostly on-road but does some actual off-roading to get to a remote cabin, or just wants a bit more clearance above the snow. Not sure about US prices, but the 75s are a bit cheaper than the 70s here in BC...probably a supply/demand thing. (Update: the 265/70 size is often listed as being suitable for a SUV, and many of the tires have a higher speed rating ("S" versus "R" or "Q" for example) which might explain why they cost more than the 265/75 truck versions.)

BTW: we took off her air dam and the "SPORT" decals, and added a TRD skid plate, so anyone looking closely is probably wondering how she got a DCSB MT with leather seats in Off-Road (not an option in Canada in 2019, nor now). With that "Look" and the Cavalry Blue colour, she gets a lot of people complimenting her on the truck.
