you aren't gonna need a tow rig. How can you break CVs when you are winching over every obstacle anyways? :luvya::luvya::luvya::luvya:

what kind of tuning are you running on that bad boy?

My favorite 6.0l tune was the Quick Tricks transmission only tune. Power wasn't really an issue with 8K over the passes, just shifting and staying in the power band.

I have 5 tunes from Tyrant on the 6.7 and they are badass as well.

    Do it. Lets run Pritchett

the truck is a LONG BITCH so I’m honestly more worried about drive shafts haha

you aren’t lucky enough to die in October

Haven’t dug too deep into the tunes, but it has 160cc injectors and a Hydra chip with 6 tunes from “GearHead” (I think, that’s what the receipt in the glovebox says) the tunes are high idle, DD, light tow, medium tow, performance, and racing. Not sure why the PO did all of that without a boost fooler, because any time I really get into the boost even in DD mode it throws a code (talked to a buddy who has had many 7.3s and he said he would put money on that it is just throwing an overboost code and slowing the truck down)

    yolo

it is pretty long. I am betting you will break something dumb and random like the chain in the transfer case instead :luvya:

GearHead is a reputable tuner so you should be go to go when you figure out the boost issue :D

it should put down good power reliably with those injectors. You don't really want to go bigger than that for towing.

my buddy's dad left him a mint low mileage 7.3 that still had factory tires on it last year. He threw in like 200s and blew up the transmission immediately.

Oof. Exact opposite of what I’m trying to do. The shifting is a bit odd. When I switch between tunes on the fly, it shifts really hard, but if I start the truck in a certain tune, it shifts nice and smooth until I change tune again. Confused.

speculation here but the the E4OD tune probably can't change on the fly but the ECU one can. Don't change tunes while driving :luvya:

When you hook up the trailer turn it off and change it. When you wanna go fast turn it off and change it

For the 6.7l SOTF tunes the transmission tuning stays the same between power levels and the switch just changes the fuel maps

I’ve only noticed it when I use high idle and then switch to DD after it’s warm. Not like I’m switching from DD to racing lol. In fact, I’m scared and haven’t even tried racing mode. Tried performance once and it rolled coal like a mofo and threw the code before I even got into second gear

just a guess, high idle is probably the same as DD but with higher idle when in park so you may not have to mess around with it. Worth checking out.

    Strange rules for bar seating.
If there is a stranger seated, no one else can sit unless they know each other.
But at the tables, anything goes.
