The DRL signal does not come from the Stalk...

Where is it coming from? The stalk switch has to activate it, right?

From the relay. The stalk provides a ground to the combo meter internals to also provide a ground to the DRL relay.

So when the stalk is providing the ground, is that a constant signal? Regardless of turn signal position? Probably before the relay?

The LED internals IC manages the input; High/Low/Off to White LED.

So, on the 2019 and earlier, SR, what happens at the stalk when I put it in position #3? It creates a ground that it sends to a relay? Not at the headlight, but at the stalk?

In all 3rd Gen the stalk is a ground completing switch.
And to clear your confusion, the DRL's, the Low Beam, High Beam and Turn Signals and even the Tails are all controlled via a relay.

    EL is ground in C11

OK, so when I turn the stalk to position #3, it completes a ground switch. Does that ground remain constant regardless of turn signal position?

Is what I'm wondering is if you could use that ground switch to drive a relay to provide a constant 12v to the DRL. I couldn't see your pin out there, but it also refers to AUTO, which the SR's do not have. The SR's are type B, not type A. If there is a constant signal for DRL, then it is possible to still use the stalk switch to turn on the DRL's. Not use ignition or parking as has been proposed. There has to be a way to convert the DRL for SR's to work with TRD lights (not the 2020, not sure where that came from, I don't think to OP's harness is designed to work with those). If there was a constant 12V driving the DRL, then you wouldn't have to interupt the signal when the headlights are on, because if "The LED internals IC decides priority of power", then I assume they would give priority to dimming? So, if I tapped pin 20, with the stalk in position 4, I would see nothing. In position 3, I would see ground. In position 1, I would still see ground? regardless of where the turn signal (pins 11, 12 and 13) are?

YOU forgot to read the part where they TURN OFF when Low Beam is selected...

The DRLs turn off on the SR, that’s easy enough to get around. A simple wire tap or another relay takes care of that easy enough. And it would actually make it easier if they did turn off, then the TRD DRL doesn’t have to assign a priority. I’m more concerned with the way they behave When the turn signal is selected. I think at times we are talking about two different things :)

But would I be correct in pin 20’s behavior through position 1, 3, and 4 (see, I didn’t include position 2, so didn’t forget, it just doesn’t matter)?

SR's have no wire to or from on pin #20 or position on the stalk...

Ok, forget everything. I think I’m not being clear enough. Using a 2019 SR, so type B stalk switch (like the one I posted, not the one above), what happens when I put the stalk switch in position #3 (DRL, not AUTO)? I assume it’s completes a ground switch?

    Yes
If you've selected on the Head Unit to turn DRL's OFF, then the ground inside the Center Console is interrupted (never made)

Alright! Now where is that ground circuit completed? I assume there is a pin that corresponds to that?

Look at C11 in your SR and let us know. Maybe there is a wire in location #20 of C11. (Turn Stalk connector)

I'm messing with you, if your SR has the DRL select feature then it should have the wire.
    upload_2020-9-25_19-20-41.jpg
That wire does other things in the "higher" models.
