@msommer1420 what load bars are you running on that? That's the same setup I'm going for. I don't have need for a full flat rack at the moment, but I do haul an extension ladder or a canoe often enough.

Nice- thanks for the reference- I am now sitting about where yours does. One thing I found is that when I moved my cap back to cover the tailgate I got a lot more resistance from the gasket rubbing on the tailgate- something some others had mentioned either in this thread or the other but I hadn't noticed when the cap was flush with the front bedrail. So I pushed it forward again and kinda split the difference- less resistance from the gasket but more tailgate rail exposed. Like I said, I think the cap is just 1" too short. I wonder if down the road we'll see longer roofs and mid panels for these caps, but so far I've been told by all parties that I did not receive the prototype length.

I like that you went for it and took the whole sticker off! was it caught at all under the latches? I was thinking of removing just the logo section and putting something like the 4wave decal by @Tacovinyl see https://tacovinyl.com/products/4wave-decal?variant=31375849062503) in its place- but hey, looks clean with just the metal there!

@Pride of Wallingford I'll plug for @OffroadAlliance.com too- super easy to work with and good communication from those guys. This cap is easy to build and install, so unless you don't have 2 hours and 2 sets of hands on a Saturday or Sunday, there's no need to have a "professional" charge you more for both cap and install.

@acupunk my gasket seems like have a fair amount of compression. I just wish I could open the tailgate without opening the rear canopy hatch lol oh well.

I think that vinyl would look dope! The rsi vinyl was installed before the latches so it’s under the latch gaskets. Instead of removing the latches I carefully scored the sticker. Can’t even tell it’s there.

Does anyone here have the Toyota deck rail system in their truck bed? Wondering if it will work or interfere with the cap.

@Pride of Wallingford my truck sat outside in the rain last night and no leaks! I know you were wondering about that and it poured in Monroe last night.

It uses the rail system for the clamps that hold it down

Okay awesome, thought I had remembered seeing that somewhere but couldn’t find anything. Any detailed pictures of that setup would be great if you find the time. Thanks!

@unsub1 the first post of this thread has a photo of the clamps integrated into the rail. There's a cleat installed in the photo too, looks like plenty of clearance.

Just got the long bed version. I want to get those load bars too. They look like the will work really well.
