TBH I prob hate them so much because my aunt and her husband used to both drive coupes for years, but they had the good music, so I'd ride with them, but being a nearly 6 foot tall person doesn't make watermelon crawling into a coupe very attractive. To me, they don't look much different anyways. I have to realllly be looking at a car to be like "oh, a coupe."

Nevertheless, it's sad to see all the monotony in the automotive industry. I understand why, it just sucks.

No more coupes, no more manuals and crossovers, crossovers everywhere.

and i can understand that my friends in nebraska when i got the si wanted to ride in it and sitting they were comfy because of the rear seat design but getting in and out they didnt like it lol

yup thats one of the main reasons i still want a coupe even after this car is because its not something you see much anymore hell for 2017-2020 the civic coupe only sold 6% and the si was just under 2% and now they are dead from honda..... and honda also killed the 6 speed for the accord sport which i find really dumb.

if i could have my dream car which is the only car i can be a elitist for is a Porsche 911 lol but i doubt ill ever have one...

My significant other drives an FR-S. Yep, slow. However, did you take it on a track? Because the thing is a corner monster. But I'll agree with you, if the family is going anywhere it's not in the FR-S. In fact, even if it's just us two, I'm not riding in it because it's so uncomfortable. Fun as heck to drive on twisties though.

Exactly. In ours, I have to wind the damn thing up to 5k just to get it to sling out of the corners.

ive driven one in corners and it is fun but man the new miata kicks the 86s butt in the corners and my si is also fun in the corners all 3 are very agile cars and great to take to a track or twisties i just wish it had power and a better interior to match its good looking and sporty exterior

I agree. I'm not entirely sure why they didn't make the 86 boxer into a 6cyl. From what I know of the engine, it isn't "perfectly" balanced with 4 cylinders. 6 would balance out the pistons in every revolution.

We've talked about doing forced induction with some local race shops we know. The issue we run into is tuning. My experiences with the car tell me that you would have to upgrade the traction control and tires significantly to maintain any traction. The thing turns into a sideways roller skate on anything but perfectly dry pavement with the traction control off.

Did you try with the TRAC off? I'm curious because I notice in ours that it's so light, Toyota appears to use a liberal application of engine power limiting in their TRAC programming.

I'm not trying to sell you one, I'm just trying to figure out what to do to ours and why some people hate them while others love them.

i wasnt allowed to the dealer wouldnt let me.... and i think the reason people dislike them is just the poor performance from the factory for me it was the fact for a 2019 it was dated af compared to all the other cars i was looking at and it just felt like a dog the entire time.

but overall you can get them used for a decent price most of the time and they are fun little track toys kinda like the miata. you can always drive a slow car and have fun

To be fair, I was the one who complained about monotony

@Calamity_taco just complained that coupes are going away and spat some statistics on how many Civics come in coupe and manual form

The REAL kicker is, the one who complained about monotony is getting another c o r o l l a
