So.. When I first purchased my truck I had no intention on having a topper or shell however.. I loved the look of a Softopper and the functionality of it. I have had the tipper for a few months now and have camped in the back of my truck a few times. I really haven't been in a situation wear I had to remove the topper.. so I may be after something a bit more permanent.

I recently found a good deal on a Leer 100xr in white.

Thoughts on having it wrapped, color matched, or linexd?

    Appreciate the opinions!

I bought a non matched top for a good deal and I wrapped it... you can go either route since your Tacoma is black.

This is not me. Not mine. Just one I was drooling and dreaming over. Every Tacoma owner needs to view this thing. Let’s find it’s owner on here!

Installed a Leer 100XR & RTT last month. Made my own shell mounts to keep the rails open for other uses. Installed an Air-Lift overload today to help with the added weight. Had basically the same setup on my 98. 21 years with no shell integrity issues.

My ARE CX Evolve was finally delivered and installed yesterday. Overall took about 6-7 weeks but I was told they are now more like 8-10 weeks.

Went with sliding side windows with screens. Fold down front glass with sliding portion. LED light strip and gray carpet with automatic lock/unlock with factory key fob. Total with tax out the door was just over $2,800.

Overall I really like it but am hoping I can adjust the rear glass as it doesn’t seem to want to shut and if it does it has a nasty gap I can slide a few fingers in with the seemless glass back window meeting up to the tailgate. I think the rubber seal is also a little “thick” and I am thinking over a few weeks will flatten a little to the shape and pressure as well as I can adjust the closing latch position which might also help.

Looks good ! I just got my ARE classic installed . I ordered it 9 weeks ago . I had one a year and the half ago and sold it and regret getting rid of it . The quality is not as good as my other one which disappointes me even more of getting rid of my other one ! I was going to post a picture but it would not let me .
Edit : can any one tell me how to down load a picture from my media to a post ?
    Thanks !

So I found a decent deal on a leer 100 xr (coming from a softopper) however it is white and my truck is black.

I'm looking at getting it Line-x'd or rhino lined. Does anyone have any experience with that? What should it cost to have done at a shop?

    Thanks!

I wish I had seen the inside of it. I literally stopped my whole rig, trailer and all, and went out of my way to get a picture of this thing.

It's a habitat. In my opinion, get a full on camper at that point, but people seem to like them! I prefer Go Fast Campers as they seem a bit more low profile and lighter. That said I have never had either of those. Just checked them out at shows. They cost like 10k.

Wooow man. Thanks for that info. Yes, at that point of $9,000 you could do a lot! But that sure is really cool to be able to go deep into some extreme places and set up quite a spot.
