My Whitetail success 2010

I have never really been a whitetail hunter mostly muledeer. But this year I have gotten into it, last week I killed my biggest whitetail in Washignton and I figured I would not surpass it for a while. Well to make a long story short I went to Idaho on a whitetail hunt for my uncle mostly to get his first buck. And well I was in the right spot at the right time and made a awesome shot at 312 yards on my new biggest whitetail as he was running chasing his girlfriend. I had a pretty good year and I am now hooked on whitetails!

Edit---- See pics on next post---- wrong pics uploaded here. Nice. I got this bad boy last weekend in norcal during a special muzzleloader hunt. It was actually my first mule deer, I've always hunted blacktails before.

Thanks guys, it is a pretty big change from muledeer, whitetails do not leave the thick timber unless there chasing a doe or looking for a doe in estrus.

 

312 is quite the poke. my furthest is like 250 with my pre 64 model 70 .270 what rifle you usin?

I use a tikka t3 300 win mag, so far my farthest kill shot with that bad boy is 457.
