    6 easy miles this morning.
My goal was a 10:30 pace but I came in at 9:57.
So I give myself a C for effort.

    Lift session this PM :militarypress:

Then two trail runs this weekend. 12 tomorrow, 18 on Sunday.

How you don’t get bored with running is amazing.

I really enjoy running because it is so mindless. I just... go...

There are days, especially when my ADHD gets bad that lifting seems like a PITA because I'm expected to count and actually pay attention to how I feel and shit LOL

Trail running is also more fun. You have to actually be paying attention for people around you, looking for animals (was almost attacked by a raccoon a few weeks ago), and looking for tree roots so you don't fall. So that is more mentally engaging and the time goes by faster.

My long runs are run with someone so I'm talking the majority of the time to that person.

The key for me this year is keeping my pace super slow and chill (long run paces so far are 12 minutes per mile on a trail, but including water/bathroom breaks). When you slow down, you enjoy yourself more and don't beat the crap out of yourself.

I will also tell you, I'm ready to quit doing what I am doing.
I'm having a lot of fun training for this ultra, but I will be very happy in Dec when I finish my 50M and I no longer have to continue the level of activity that I am.

    I'm sorry I haven't been around. I do appreciate everyone's comments...

This is what I've reflected on...

It pains me this happened. I'm trying to figure out why, I may never know the exact, but I know what I can improve on which may resulted in this outcome. I was very fucking blind and so set on my "daily routine" that my routine with her also just became "daily". That was not ok. I was spending my time with her because we had too. We went places together because we had to. We were spending time together, but we weren't "together" we were not one, we were both just there following our "routine". She ended up seeing it before me, because she met another guy who opened her mind. In a way, I'm thankful what he did. I've spoke 2 trillion words in the last week and for once it wasn't about work, the gym, the diet, the drugs, the "routine". I have never been so hurt. I have never been so blind. I have never been so ignorant. WE BOTH were.

As time goes on, I realize more and more how terrible our relationship actually was. How toxic of people we became to each other, and the ones who surrounded us. We constantly judged people, including ourselves. We tried incredibly hard to "please the other" that it became a fight when the other half didn't fucking pick the jewelry or the shoes or even a fucking cologne or perfume.

I was a numb, emotionless person when I met her, and she was not. She was amazing, fun, giddy, outgoing, sexy, unique, special... She changed me alot, for the better. As I reflect back and realize where we truly hit balance, it was not long before we both started sinking again. Slowly becoming the same person that I once was... My evil tore us down. Her angel gave us up... Every month a pissing match over something dumb, then every week, then nearly daily. For a time it was multiple times a day.... This was incredibly disgusting... It's painful to type this... I love her and I thank her for everything she did for me. She truly did EVERYTHING for me... And I felt I did EVERYTHING for her. We just did the "everything" in the wrong ways.

I will also say. Fuck that. Cheating is still never okay. If you’re that unhappy then speak up or leave. It’s not cool that she had a side guy like that while engaged. So don’t be too hard on yourself.

She is. She also holds herself better... She's a bit younger, but she has goals and achievements to account for... We also seemed to enjoy some similar interests. While they didn't seem exact same interest, they were relevant together. (ex... Coffee, she likes super bold, I like a medium blend) things like that.

I don't know her much, other than her and I have talked and it's helping us both go through the pain. After all, she was cheated on too.
