And with that, I'm well on my way to getting the Taco where I want it.

Last night I got my new wheels and tires installed.

Super smooth ride home. My daughters 2017 Rav4 with KO2's are way louder than these mudders.
Only rub is a vary very slight rub during partial turn where the outside edge of the tire touches graces the innermost lowest part of the fender flare plastic. A tad bit of heat gun action, or a quick swipe with the utility knife should take care of that (or the lift).

Brown Santa dropped off the lift bits this afternoon. I know what I'm doing next week after work. :sawzall::welder:

Mt.Hood National Forest temporarily closes forest for fire and public safety
    NEWS RELEASE

    September 21, 2020 UPDATE:

The Labor Day windstorm caused extensive damage to trails, recreation sites, and roads on the forest. We have thousands of down trees, dozens of down power lines, and some damaged structures as well. Our staff is beginning to clear out roads and assess the damage.

For the next few days at least, the Mt. Hood National Forest will remain CLOSED to public access. We are continuing to evaluate the closure on a daily basis while providing for the safety of the public and our employees.

The forest will likely re-open in stages, with dispersed areas and sites on the east side opening first. Campgrounds are probably closed for the season. Additionally, we still have two fire closures that will be in effect.

I’ve been looking forward to it re-opening and there being some rain/mud on the roads. I think trails like LoLo Pass and Mt Defiance might be a little more challenging now. Can’t wait to get back out.

I too am looking to get out ASAP.

My truck is currently sidelined due to upper ball joint play in my SPC ball joints (yikes...very minimal and only one side but not risking the chance of a tire going sideways...), so I have complete replacement arms with new bushings and ball joints on the way, but they're backordered. So, enter a set from Total Chaos, which will hopefully be on after staying late one night at the shop next week.

Selling the replacement SPC's if you know any 1st gens looking for an upgrade (price will be somewhere below retail), nothing bad to say about my experience with them just can't go too long without a vehicle!

I'm feeling a pull to some ghost town exploration way out yonder once we're firmly in winter's grip but not quite snowed in yet.

So we ended up just doing the power lines from Lolo pass to Red Hill ln. the new section to me was probably 4 miles of mostly uphill travel. It was not a fire-road quality path either. I was aired down and even had to use 4lo at some points due to the steepness and off camber terrain. Needless to say, it was pretty fun. Nothing that felt like I had to worry about damage, but more than a gravel road.
    Thanks @Toywoodsguy82 for hanging.

I've never taken my truck on the trails and would be curious to tag along this weekend. Anyone want to help me get my sliders bolted back on before then? :D
