I seem to recall two funny looking squares that sit just above the rear view mirror. Theyre on either side of the overhead console. Can't for the life of me remember what those are called, or why someone came up with such an unusual name for them....:cookiemonster:

    Yeah.
I actually like the Entune navigation, but many times I don't have an actual destination and just use it as a map to see when my next turn is coming up. I've had Garmin and Google send me off into nowhere, none of them are perfect. I still prefer planning routes using an atlas.

Waze is good for that and also shows you traffic, road construction, and police activity.

Go to an antique shop and buy a map so you can confirm your routes.

I always had good performance from my Garmin, but the few times I used someone's Magellan I didn't find it very accurate. I still have an old Garmin somewhere that I could use in a pinch.

I have occasionally had an issue with Google maps. Yet every physical map made before this morning has errors and are almost useless in traffic.

Even though Google owns Waze, the two products are not identical. Google Maps works much better on a desktop than on a phone. Waze is much better for navigating because Google on a phone craps up the maps and directions with all sorts of ads. Waze does that, but much less intrusively. Google is pretty good if you're walking somewhere since Waze is optimized for driving only.

Good to know. Some co-workers swear by Waze, but Google is remarkably precise when it comes to drive time.

Waze is as well. It also will reroute you around traffic. It's very accurate as far as drive time. The only thing it doesn't seem to factor in is traffic lights.

Never noticed an issue until today, it took me the long way/wrong way down a country road that turned to a dirt path. Luckily I looked up in time to see a huge cement water fountain in the middle of the road at the entrance to a winery. That would have been a disaster.
