I got an imperfect one discounted from BAMF. Sometimes it is about being at the right place at the right time. Once I got it, I put about 15 layers of rattle can in different colors so I could see how much I was beating it by paint wear. I've since sold it off, and I think it landed with bobsuruncle.

Where the other K5s don't watch out, and bash into each other, crushing body panels...

I did end up with a set of bamf lca skids from you, but I thought the skid plate was nwti or some other northwest region shop product. I added about 3 more layers of paint to it also. I recall something about @tinker_troy once owning it also and it being pink?

All I know is that there's 3 or 4 different colors under there, and the paints gotta be close to 1/8" thick.

It's been 4 years since I had that stuff. Pink does seem about right for one or 2 layers. I'm pretty sure I had about 6 layers of paint that I put on. I just remember meeting up with Jerrod and he had to creatively put stuff into his already full bed. I also remember using a trolley jack for installation and removal of the skid plate, because 1/4" steel is nice and light.
You're right on LCA skids, those were the BAMF blemished.

Yeah, I've installed and removed it over a dozen times now and can get the jack under the sweet spot where it balances on the fist shot now lol. It's a heavy sob.

It sucks when you don’t have a jack in the middle of the trail :) I had to pull my driveline down in Moab after the third shot the bed. Those fuckers where hot as shit and heavy.

As I recall, I didn't have the jack with me to remove it after my truck was totalled. I got underneath it, then removed most of the bolts, and ended up loosening the last couple, then doing the one arm bench press method. I was just stripping stuff off the truck at that point. I wanted to get the suspension, but I didn't have anything to put back in place. I was going to sell off the OME stuff to make an extra buck back. Oh well. I got my extra lights, skids, and brake controller. I've since put the brake controller in the wifey's t4r, although it isn't mounted, just spliced to the factory harness.

Cant remember if you already knocked this out but if that spot wasn't working you could probably relocate your PS reservoir and mount it there next to the compressor.

It’s looking like it needs to go where I circled it. It has to be accessible by hand and eye to make it work. It’s pretty hefty. I would say without weighing it, it’s probably 2 pounds so it need to be really sturdy.
