Anyone else noticed difference between the spacing of the wheel and flare?

I was making measurements yesterday to see which size spacers I'd like to get.

I noticed as I measured all the wheels' distance between the flare and the sidewall, that both wheels on the driver's side were about 0.5 inches deeper into the vehicle than the passenger's. Is this intentional? And does anyone else have this?

Truck is stock and without any changes except for the four wheels that are from a Tundra.

I'm wondering if I should buy two sets of different sized spacers to offset the difference and have them all the same. Or perhaps this was they way these trucks were meant to be, and that this difference in length serves some useful purpose

 

Not sure the purpose of this but I suspect we are not alone. I had my truck for over a year before I noticed and I would guess its common across the model line. 99% of consumer don't notice subtleties like this but if it bothers you a spacer could be the solution to evening things out. Go for it

I had the same issue. Each pair of wheels has a different offset. Instead of having both rims with the same offset on each side put them on the same axle and they will be staggered. You csn have narrow in thr front wider in the back or vice versa.
