I've had the same problem with my new 2020 TRD OR double cab. Dealer checked it out and the drums were replaced. It got better but still doing it at same speeds as op. I have 6000km so far and it has done it since day 1.

Heres how I've narrowed mine down to being a problem with rear brakes and not the drive line.

    1) No vibration in steering wheel.
    2) Decelerate by manually downshifting - doesnt do it.
    3) Brake with truck in neutral - still does it.

I haven't tried applying the parking brake and driving it around at all yet. The last visit to the dealership they drove the truck and said it could be something to do with the brake shoe material. It could be doing the something similar to a chattering clutch. They want my truck back again to take some more measurements for toyota to use for diagnosis.

Mine does it intermittently, almost feels like warped rotors, but it’s not because it only does it sometimes.

If I put an aftermarket lift would that void the TSB for my truck?

I imagine you may get some push back if you have aftermarket suspension components and larger tires. I specifically had this done prior to installing my lift for that reason.

I am currently dealing with a vibration issue but mine is not linked to deceleration at lower speeds. Mine seems to come into play at speeds between 70-80MPG at varying speeds and varying engine RPMs. Initially I thought it was tires, but after my 3rd set of tires and multiple RF balancing, I am thinking it is something else. As a last restore on tires, I am going to go to a different shop and see if I get better results. The vibration I am feeling at the above mentioned speeds is almost like a ‘shuddering’, so much that the passenger seat shakes fairly violently. I have some videos of it in action but don’t know how to post them on here.

Same problem on my 20 PRO. 3 sets of tires and multiple rebalancing of each, no change or improvement. Comes and goes. Please post here if service is any help at all. I am taking mine in next week, and if they can’t or won’t locate the problem, it is getting traded in immediately.

I had/have the same thing. Usually it was after I’d driven for a while. I thought it might be the brake pump I’ve heard the OR and Pros have after reading a few things. I’ve got about 3500 miles on my truck and it’s now lifted as well. I’ll say after putting about 500 miles on it with the lift I barely notice it. Could have been the leafs not being quite right while stock or something else. While testing the lift I did do a lot of heavy/quick breaking and acceleration but I don’t notice it nearly as much. Could all just be in my head though...

I had the same issue w/ my 2018 trd sport, started@ 500 miles. Long story short, turns out the rear brake drums had warped.

hard to believe rear drum brakes are warped at 500 miles, ive had no issues at 240,000 miles on mine without ever bothering at all with them, most of the braking action occurs using the front brakes, also warped out of round drums will cause pedal pulsation not vibrations on deceleration when slowing down

Yep, started feeling it @500 miles. took it to the dealership @1500 got the run around a bit. finally got new drums @ around 5000 miles haven’t had any issues since. I went through the forums searching for a poss. cause, my money was on drive line issue. I was surprised when they told me the drums were bad. My vibration was when braking/deceleration. jus saying.

the transmission is still learning optimal shift points. what you are probably feeling are the clunky downshifts which are common during the first 1000 miles.

so we have 1/2 dozen people who said online the rear drums warped, I would like to see the receipt and mileage on that, it doesn't exist, Tacoma rear drums are bulletproof for way over 200k miles easily without little or no maintainence ive owned 5 of these trucks I know.
