Same can be said about any early 2000's Honda product with an auto transmission. And the oil burning 4 cylinders.

 

My dad commuted in a Mazda. Passed it to my sister when they turned 16, sold it when they were done with it right at 200k. Then it blew up or something a week later and the lady got pissed.

 

True, those light oil control rings fucked them, never does any damage though. Those autos were heinous I agree, but buying an auto honda means it was an appliance anyway, enthusiasts know better... no memes about those haha.

Gear oil changed in the tcase. Still had the factory fluid in it, along with being over full. It started draining from the drain plug when I took it off, like a lot, not the usual dribble when the fluid level is correct.. Plug still had the yellow paint mark on it that was un-broken on the edge which is why I say factory fluid still.

Tomorrow I'll swap the rear links out.

Why Toyota didn't do this in the first place, or at least have it as an option, is beyond me.

I could never figure why so many people were crazy about an engine that predictably blew head gaskets and required stop leak additive from the time they were new.

I got my fill of that a couple of years ago.
