Something about the telemetry with the independent suspension its usually about 2:1
1/2" should get an 1" so I expect it to settle a bit though it may be getting more because I have OME 885 springs.

Yeah, a 1/2" spacer is basically extending the length of the shock assembly a half inch. So the point at which the shock mounts at the LCA is being pushed down 1/2". This makes the end of the LCA, where the ball joint is, pushed down about a full inch.

Installed a new smaller S/C pulley, new Belt, cleaned my Throttle body, and MAF. She still runs like a champ. Now has a little more pull.

how does it feel? Still as smooth as before the bumper? Im getting one too and was wondering if I should swap out the springs to 886 or add a spacer to the 885s. It would be a temporary fix till i get new suspension built.

Did a transmission flush for what looked to be the first time in the trucks life at 86k miles. Also while I was under there I changed the fluids in the front diff, transfer case, and rear diff. All I smell now is diff fluid. Had to save up all my milk jugs for the past few months to have something to put all the used fluids in! Also picked up a new 27F interstate battery from costco as preventative after seeing my lights dim yesterday after turning off the engine but leaving the switch on.

Snapped both lower bolts off my stock bash plate so looks like tomorrow is going to be spend grinding off the rusted nuts and replacing with new hardware. Do aftermarket skids bolt to the stock bash plate location? If not I may leave them and just buy an actual skid plate instead.

I have the BPF front skid and it uses the stock holes. I left the OEM on one and just put the BPF over it. You're probably going to have to deal with those busted bolts.

Took her for a little drive today.

No pics of my truck because I was driving and it was damn crowded on this road. But I followed this Tacoma for a while. Man was he a shitty driver. Had two wheels off the ground for this turn. Couldn’t believe he didn’t hit that rock or flip over. It took him forever to get around that turn.

It still feels good. A little more body roll than before. I would recommend beefier springs though especially if you're going to run a winch. The bumper did really make it feel softer.

    None... yet.
Did a drain and fill on the rear diff and transfer case. Cleaned the rear breather (it was definitely clogged) because I found out what happens when you don't with my PreRunner! I then moved to the front diff and proceeded to round out the drain plug... Yay. On the plus side, the oil in the rear and transfer was in good shape, so I'm not "too" worried about not getting to the front right away.

Moved on to the spark plugs and also put new grease into the driveshaft. Both definitely needed to be done. Nothing left of the spark plug tips but very tiny nubbins on all of 'em and the grease that oozed out was a dark grey...

Extreme is a biiiiigggg stretch. It’s a little steep and was tippy in one spot. The guy behind me was in a stock wrangler with 32” tires, he scratched his skids a little. A stock taco could make it with good lines.

It was a cool trail for sure. My wife was hanging her head out the window oohing and ahhing over the views the whole time.

I’m looking at getting new floor mats. What kind do you all recommend? WeatherTech, Husky, or something else?

Ok this was last weekend, and I did it over 3 days. Upgraded to 6112's and JBA UCA's from @outlaw_taco, OME HD springs and 5160's, home made carrier bearing drop, u bolt flip kit, and still need to add the extended rear brake lines. Pics are before alignment which completely fixed the horrible rubbing. IMG_2729.jpgIMG_2737.jpgIMG_2734.jpgIMG_2740.jpg

Ventured out to Death Valley today. Went up hunter mountain, racetrack, lippencott, then Cerro Gordo. Was sad to see that some jerk offs didn't know how to read the "Do not drive on the playa" signs
