a 1st gen around here in general is rare. both these orange ones have been local since i was a little kid. they old drive them when its nice out too it seems. both were actually sold at the dealer i worked at. both special ordered. these two probably know each other.

 

That color? I always thought that was reddish maroon or something. My daughter's 2013 is that color.

Interesting. Tacomas and runners are really really popular here. I see first gen tacos and 3rd gen 4 runners all day every day. But they are usually white, gold, and silver.
