My brother's insurance is paying for my recent damage. With the amount of hail damage claims this year my truck won't even go in until October 26th. There are still people driving around with holes in their windshields from the last storm.

its crossed my mind to take a loan out to get the tacoma done.

but at the same time i like it going slow. its getting done perfectly to me standards. Every single bolt i torque. even insignificant ones. ones that ive torqued down are paint marked. Why? because this is my pride and joy. this is the one vehicle i will own until the day im dead.

There is an immaculate specimen of this color on my island, I swear the dude must clean it everyday, he changed everything out to chrome, mirrors, handles, ect. its really nice.

My front diff was loose when I did my 135K oil change Friday. The two bolts that hold the arm to the diff tube. I need to start paint marking. It wasn't loose my last wheeling trip so hopefully no harm done.

i dont mark them like that. i just put a yellow dot on the head of the bolts to know i already tightened it. the only ones i mark like that are the alignment tabs once the alignments set.

This is how I feel about my two tacomas, I mean shit I recently started driving the 4wd I bought 2 years ago, and its down right now. But everything I've had to replace I changed everything that went with it and made sure I used stuff of quality. I am keeping them forever, both of them. Even the 5 lug, its around 250k on the clock. I'll change the engine out before I would even think of selling it.

the 4wd, I have such goals for. Its been a rough journey and I sometimes think I should have bought something that was way more done/together/non abused, but to know that everything I do makes it better and more bullet proof, I like that, for the longevity.

I've gotta get sliders for the tundra soon... keep putting it off. torn on bolt on or weld on..

also need to find someone with a water jet or something big enough so i can have plates made for the rear of the frame. and i'd like to do the shackle upgrade from archive garage+ the extra rear cross member to tighten the ass up on the ol tundra.
