OK, I just went to Kelly Blue Book and it said my 2015 TRDOR DC was valued at over 34K which is more then I paid for it new by a couple thousand bucks. [31.5 b4 TTP.]

    Nuts.

I have noticed some 2021 Tacoma's VIN # that starts with 5 so they must have delayed moving total production South of the border until they catch up a little more.

Some dealers are hiding them in a holding lot to create a frenzy. Check that out before you pay too much.

Texas production is in ramp down. So there are still some being produced. But that's going to come to an end to make production room for the new Tundra and Sequoia (which is moving from Indiana). At that point all Tacoma production will from the 2 Mexico plants

Dealer I purchased from has 5 on the lot, 32 in transit in the coming weeks. All being sold under MSRP, but not by much.

My local dealership had two, I drove to their back lot, usually about 3/4 full, lots of runners, tacos and tundras. Nothing like normal. It looked like the 2 tacos in the back lot came from other dealers, so my guess they were sold. Back lot was about 1/4 capacity and the front lot was spaced out ridiculously.

I guess ford, and chevy has been picking up some of the slack...been seeing quite a few new rangers on the road, and even some chevy colorado's.

Ranger sales incresed and Colorado decreased, last figures had the Ranger at the #2 spot but was still only half of the Tacoma.

That wave is over. I just happened to check mine and its value went down $6000 from a couple months ago.

What is "Nuts" is the people who would pay that for a used Tacoma.
Tacoma's are good. But they are not that good.

Dude that’s nothing. There are several Used Tacomas in this area that would make you fall out of your chair. A few examples. 2017 TRD sport for 49K, 2018 SR for 40k, 2016 SR5 for 42k. Now that’s nuts!!

When i see some of these prices for a used Tacoma, I just shake my head. I agree, that is Nut's. I understand supply and demand. I just don't understand the people who would pay those prices. You won't find me paying those prices.

The 2006 Tacoma I had was the best pickup I ever owned till it got totaled in 09. Replaced it with a different brand. i would have bought a Tacoma back in 2016 but Toyota was not dealing. I went with a Nissan Frontier. In many ways it reminds me of my 06, except for the turning radius. After basically 4 years of ownership I have had zero problems with the Frontier.

If the high prices for new or used Tacoma's continue, Toyota will be pricing themselves out of consideration for me, even though I could walk into a dealer today and pay cash for a Pro and not even blink. Just don't see the justification.

    Some Serious Tires
Anyone wants to buy a used 2018 black or white taco? Black one is 44k with about 35k miles and white one is 47300 with about same mileage. Black one has a lot of scratches, but has a canopy. White one comes with an aftermarket dent as well. I looked at the undercarriage and the white one seen a lot of trails.

Thats at my local stealer. The prices are just ridiculous.

They got 1 more brand new AC OR in quicksand which was already sold, thats it for tacos there.

I paid 39500 for mine. Plus taxes and all that of course.

Oh and both have shitty stock tires that are pretty much done.

I have a bit of a different opinion. I think most vehicle purchases are somewhat impulse buys. The Taco perhaps not *quite* as much. I don’t think there’s a huge backlog of people waiting to buy the latest Taco. I suspect by early 2021 we’ll be back at usual inventory levels.
