That was confusing. How about "The @XPOTRPR Qwikchange hub mod."

Speaking of which, did you interchange pulleyboys and smoothflow when you swapped to 2.3 and back? How did you realign the hub?

Hey it's the little custom things that sets this group above the rest of TW.

Couple him with @mightytacoman @JustDSM @BillDaCat8 @Roostfactor and @Torspd and we have one solid group with manufacturers, tuners and incredible knowledge for the platform.

I have always been interchanged since my early 2.5 pulley. When I switched to the 2.3 then to the 2.8 and down to the 2.7 I have been running the Smoothflow the entire time. The original combo was all Pulleyboys with the 2.5 but after that it's always been a mixed setup.

I have not touched the hub since I pressed it on. I just spaced out the two upper idlers with 1/8" (.125 outspacing for both idlers) washers. I've never had any issues at all.

Yeah definitely a couple ways to approach it. Sounds like you pressed the pulley hub only flush with the shaft which allowed you to outpace the idlers? Looks like the pulley spacer idea is the best route for those of us that seated the hub an extra 1/8" beyond flush on the shaft.

Is this issue only with the Pulleyboys hub or is there an issue with Smoothflow as well?

I’m still trying to catchup on all this.

Oddly even though I got more votes for white, I am still leaning toward the black sticker on the tailgate.

@nudavinci64 got me thinking of a silver/dark grey on the window instead of the white too.

The engineer's OCD quest for perfection continues.

Yeah. I mentioned this when I initially found the qwikchange setup. I think it may had been lost in translation, however.

I pressed it flush and when I did I found I still could use an extra 1/8" to be perfectly true on the idlers so I improvised on the fly while I was at my work and spaced them out using two washers equalling 1/8". It worked out excellent for what it was.

The issue only affects Pulleyboys hubs. Smoothflow worked with one of the guys here to design a hub properly made to fit for our blowers. I went with the Pulleyboys hub back in the day because I didn't know of Smoothflow 1 at the time. And 2. They offered the dimensions I needed to make a well informed decision to ultimately pick up the part. It was still a 50/50 if it work so I was nervous as to what would happen. I did a lot of mock up prior to the install including visual line up of both the hub and pulley prior to pressing them in. Fast forward a few years later and here we are now. :)

I think the black on the tailgate looks the best.

But I don't love putting stickers on paint.

I was thinking of doing something similar at least to the one to the left and push it out a tad or push the qwikchange out some more. Are the smooth flow thinner?

so a few in here have Roush with the double roller and some with the OE roller. I do not have any other wrap mods but do have the double roller. if I go RPM
With the rise of the smoothflow setup it has me debating swapping it out instead of messing with the alignment.

That's purely up to you, as you can see there are multiple options and more than one way to skin a cat but your setup is already in place and messing with that bolt again is something I know you don't want to deal with because I don't want to ever again until I absolutely need to.

amen to that. all these questions are gauging what I can get away with, without having to pull or adjust anything. Pulleys seem find but could use a better alignment. Wanted to make sure going from the shorter belt I have now to the OE RPM would not cause any issues but seems with the roush its working out well and can also possibly drop to a 2.7 with it. Looks like the RPM belt is not available locally at my Napa but they also half as much off carid.com.

Being the first time swapping the belt. Looks like I can get it off as folks said (I was able to get to the tensioner and reseat the belt for now). Is he bracket/brace for the tensioner the only thing I need to loosen/remove to get the new belt on/old belt off (if i dont cut it)?
