No I would not recommend it. Maybe 2.5”. Plus you will need upper control arms for sure at that height for a proper alignment. Also to help fit 285’s if your going that route. I stayed at 2” of lift up front to keep 265’s and also to keep stock control arms.

What setting are you on in the front? Your stance looks very nice.

Am I wrong to think that lifting the truck on the backs of the 5100s without the proper support of a matched coil, will significantly shorten the lifespan of the billies?

Thank you. I’m on top setting. With an 1.5” aal in rear. No complaints here. Ive done light trails and is a daily driver. Since I’ve had lift it definitely has softened up a little. You definitely can’t beat 5100’s.

I appreciate the response. No ill side effects from the top setting? Seems your pretty satisfied with the ride.

I was going to go with 6112/5160s or Elka 2.0s but a local guy I know just sold me brand new, in box, 5100s front & rear, for $200. I went ahead and grabbed them for that price. I think Im just going to go ahead and install them and see what I think.

Exactly give it a shot. I was on the fourth setting and moved up no difference IMO. Also I was going to use OME COIL Springs but saw how many guys were getting sagging. So I stuck with oem coils. I did some research. Talked to Bilstein direct. They do have a settings sheet for height adjustments.

Guys have also paired 5100’s up with a set of Eibach coils I don’t know the specs on it though.

I am leaning towards going with the Eibach coils. I would go with my factory coils but I want to leave them as fully assembled if I ever want to switch back or sell them as a whole. Seems too many people have sagging issues with the OME. Thanks again for all the info.

Also remember that 2” seems to be the line between just doing shocks and AAL and having to start doing other mods. Over 2” might mean a diff drop or changing other items to avoid vibrations. I have no vibration at any speed right now.
