Awesome! I’m not familiar with them but I’ve spent a little bit of time in Madison, I know I ate at mad local a few times, and when I would help out my cousins at Ace collision down 29 I would run up to McDonald’s or Piedmont deli for lunch. It’s a cool little place. I lived south of Charlottesville for a few months before I moved back down south, I really enjoyed living there.

Precisely, I’m lucky enough to already have a press and some components and a local component dealer who texts me when he gets his shipments in so I can have a chance at getting what I need.
I’m not set up for 6.8 so I’m trying to get somewhat setup before deer season, a local gun forum member texted me tonight and told me he could acquire some 90 grain gold dot projectiles for me via his work connections, now all I need are primers and powder  and wait for my dies to ship to me.

I load do volume for when I do my training days, and I handload for my long range precision stuff. The long range shooting requires special equipments and components in my reloading.
The volume shooting I do on a Lee turret as I have wanted to shell out the money for a progressive. However it’s just .45 acp, .223 and 9mm. I usually buy enough materials to make 500 rds at a time. This was before the pandemic, as I’m in the buisness of doing and teaching the things with the guns. So I spend a lot of my off time staying proficient, or in competition when not on contract.

I've had custom holsters take that long. I agree with others that OpticsPlanet can be hit or miss, though I've never had an in stock item take more than two weeks to ship. Now, how long it takes after UPS/USPS picks up the item, that's another story.

That Freedom Group conglomerate was a shitshow right out the gate. I've dealt with the venture capitalists behind it before (Cerberus). They are the ones that owned Chrysler, Chrysler Capital, and GMAC during the auto bailouts, as well as Talecris (plasma centers - this is where I worked with them), Blue Bird buses, and about a dozen other companies. They sold Chrysler to Fiat, then kept the bailout money to invest in the other companies. Back around 2008, CSL plasma was trying to buy Talecris from Cerberus. The SEC blocked the purchase to teach the Cerberus boys a lesson. I think they ended up selling to Grifols eventually.

shot the new M&P shield 9mm ez this weekend. Shot 25 rounds and 6 times it jamed and didn't cycle the bullets' with out reracking it.

Not sure what the issue is. The last 5 shots seamed to work fine. Someone said when you load the easy magazines to keep pressure on the springs when loading? Anyone had any problems with theirs?

Do you typically use 115? Have you tried a heavier round like 124 to see iif it reacts the same? Have you fired pistols regularly before this model?

Ok, if you've been shooting that long then I doubt it's a limpwristing issue. Try a box of heavier rounds and see if it performs the same?

Forgive me if I come across condescending because I promise I'm not; I want to explain it as understandably as possible.

When you fire a round, the projectile comes out the barrel and the gas causes the slide to move backward, compressing the slide spring as much as possible, which then pushes the slide forward again to chamber the next round. If you lay the gun down on a table and actuate the trigger, it will not work anywhere near as well. This is because when the slide moves backward away from the fired bullet, it moves against the handle, thanks to that spring. If you do not have enough force maintaining the handle or grip of your handgun, or 'limp wristing it' and allowing the gun to recoil or kick more than it normally would, you're preventing the slide from fully traversing, from fully compressing the spring. Because the slide does not travel the full designed path, and does not have the fully compressed spring to send it fully forward again, it can cause failures to feed and other, similar jams.

    Does that make sense?

Looking for some suggestions. I’ve been using Hoppes 9 for years, I love it, cleans great and doesn’t leave any residue. Just recently tried hoppes black in an effort to get away from the smell of 9(it lingers, and my wife is not a fan). The black doesn’t seem to clean as well, and leaves an oily residue that I can’t stand.

Any suggestions for a cleaner that works as well or better than 9 without the smell?
