you got a flex joint somewhere in the exhaust? that exhaust is going to crack somewhere being solidly mounted to the bumper like that if you dont

 

I asked the same thing a few posts ago and I don’t think he ever responded. Gotta have some give for the drivetrain flex.

 

ive become a big fan of the flex joints toyota uses on the camrys and corollas. spring bolts with a donut gasket.

 

Do you have a part number? It’s Denso?

 

Found a replacement driver door and fender. Going to pick up Tuesday or Wednesday. Still undetermined if the frame is actually bent or not. Insurance adjuster is probably coming out tomorrow or Tuesday. Wish me luck. Decided that the reincarnation is going to be painted Sandy Taupe, since the rest of the pickup has needed a paint job and that’s always been my favorite Toyota color.

I was thinking of going with the super 44 delta flow, should I go with the 50 series? I've never dealt with flowmaster so I'm new with their product.

 

I had a 40 series delta flow, it's fairly grumbly and loud, but if you've ever heard the 5vz without a muffler... well it sounds kinda like an endless deep fart. One of the worst sounding engines, and the flowmaster really sings that farty tone right into the cab at cruising speed. I'd personally go with a 50 series if I did anything from them with this v6. Maybe a vibrant ultra-quiet resonator if you decide to do the 40 series or the 44 though.

 

It's probably the bulb. On these tiny bulbs sometimes you can get them to work by smacking them and the resulting arc makes the filament stay in place until it turns off and cools again.

I’m using Borla ProXS, vibrant ultra quiet res and 2.25” all the way. It’s not bad really.

Sounds better than stock muffler IMO. And I’m an exhaust hater. There’s a few people in my neighborhood that I don’t know but the fact they run a straight pipe jeep and have their Chevy “clap” is all I need to know about them. Obnoxious with zero self awareness. Nobody thinks you’re cool when they can hear your shitty as fuck exhaust inside their home. End rant.
