I am a big fan of all my Milwaukee cordless tools. The Mud Mixer ice auger is the best thing since sliced bread. I can drill holes for weeks with this thing in 3 feet of ice. It's insane how powerful it is and it's about 9lbs total. Completely changed the game!

My impact and grease gun are my favorites. Grease gun is a game changer and I don’t mind doing it now. Way cleaner, easier and actually done right.

I've always wanted to live in this house someday. I spent a ton of time there as a kid.. It has always been there :pout: but Grandma is going to AZ.

I'd love to own a house on water. Get the boats on the water, enjoy the view every morning...
I caught one fish there.. ONE... and that was probably 20+ years ago (God I feel old when I say that).
No tint, no cracked lights, no uncovered light bars (if they're being particularly obnoxious), no tire poke, and rust!

    Delete itttttttttttt ;)
Its $40 here... You got robbed, brochacho.
    Drill them sumbitches out!
:woot: Raptorrrrrrrrrrrrr :woot: You're gonna like the way it comes out! Remember, the more air pressure you use, the smoother it comes out. We ran ours at like 75psi and it was fairly smooth.
I've had DeWalt battery tools for a while. ALL of my technicians use battery impacts and ratchets. Yesterday I drilled over 100 pilot holes, used a step bit to get them to the correct size, then deburred the holes on one battery that is 6 years old or so.. not too shabby!

The other amazing tool that is so much superior being battery operated- my Milwaukee M12 Pop Rivet Gun! The manual ones are too hard to hold everything perfectly while you use them, and the air operated one I had failed quickly and was a serious pain to set up the compressor and all the hose. I'm a huge fan of the rivet gun.

Oh, and the Milwaukee vacuum! I forgot how bad ass that is! Cleaning the truck is so much easier without having to haul around the shop vac. And the cordless vac just lives on my workbench so if I drill something, or cut something it's right there for quick cleanup.

    :D

Fresh water isn't as bad as salt water. I like the idea of living on a lake, but sometimes there are headaches. Any sort of work on the house needs 10x more work, nets to catch debris, more permits, more restrictions, etc. So it sounds nice, but ultimately, not sure. I'm a fan of the woods but there's something to be said about being 10 minutes from all the stores in Seekonk, 10 minutes from Providence, city gas/water/sewage, they come and take my trash away once per week (recycling every other). They even take away lawn debris April - December! I'm 50/50.

One of my techs asked for one of those for the department. When he installs projectors, he's usually drilling into cinderblock resulting in a lot of concrete dust at the front of classrooms. He loves the thing because he can quickly clean up without trying to find a vacuum in whatever building he's working in.

Benefit of well water - I hosed off my garage floor along with the lawn tractor and ATV yesterday and wasn't breaking any rules by doing so! Most of the public water supplies have restrictions on them now because they're so low, but I'm not worried about the well. I pulled the cover yesterday and it looks about as full as it always does.

City conveniences are great. It's nice to have town water/gas etc., but my well water is the cleanest water you can get. Sure it has some slight traces of diesel from fuel spills over the last year, but it won't hurt you too bad!

The boat I have is a wooden boat built by the guy who used to own the house before my grandparents bought it in the 80's. My dad redid it by hand. I just got rid of the Mercury 15hp for a Yamaha 8hp motor. The marina sold my Grandfather WAY too big of a motor, so it was at risk of being filled by wake if you stopped abruptly.

I need to strap the trailer to the boat and try to drive the trailer over to the marina soon. I'm not letting go of that boat!

 I didn't know you could see the water!!!!

Mine's a shallow dug well, so it's only about 30 ft deep but is about 3 ft x 3 ft. It's a lot easier to see the water than a normal drilled well.

    Oh, I forgot one thing....

55.24$ tax per 1k in value, after the first 5k (5k exemption). So a 15k boat, 550 bucks a year in taxes. On the boat. Also needs a trailer.

I could drill a well, I just don't care about my lawn THAT much. My neighbors been running irrigation all summer, my lawn is a lot more....brown. I did yesterday hit a large patch with clover seed and set up the not-permanent sprinkler. Hit that for a few weeks hopefully it'll take for the spring and my lawn won't be a mud pit like it was last year. And then it will take off? :D

Depending on how frequently he's doing that, check out the Hilti tool system. They make a ring attachment for a concrete drill that connects right to their shop vac. There's literally no dust, no mess, it's a slick system. Expensive though, so if it's not an every day, multiple time a day occurrence, it's not really worth the expense.

I'm not sure how deep mine is, but its hella deep.

One of my old coworkers had like a 700' drilled well, and he had to replace his pump twice!

Ouch... That's what, $10-15k per occurrence?

That's one of my concerns about buying land around here. Having to go like a mile deep to find water.

    Good to know, thanks!

Typically, it's only 10-20 installs a year. I'm trying to replace the oldest ones little by little because they've been failing as they age and the installs were kind of sloppy. Each install is usually six larger holes for the projector mount itself then 10-15 smaller holes for the wire molding and wall box for the video/audio hookups.

I try to do nice clean installs--probably not quite as nice looking as what a Pro A/V company would manage, but for an in-house job I think it's pretty good:

It's a Type B so you can use a normal printer type USB cable to go to a computer. That's there for the interactive capabilities of the projector--allows you to use pens on the whiteboard to draw, control the mouse, etc.

It's called an F-U SB port because no one has that type of plug!
