Lessons need to be learned, the hard way sometimes. you can only instruct a teenager so much on driving safety. They dont want to hear it. I attribute this one to lack of safe following distance. plus rain, but that should = even greater following distance.

Only wreck I've ever caused, was exactly this. Following too close in the rain at 16 or 17.

EDIT: And my dad made me pay $1500 to fix the other car @JimboAnz

yikes, glad everyone is OK though.

Car looks repairable, damage isn't too extensive from the looks of things.

Still totaled, prob was worth what, $7k. Doesn't take much damage to total older cars.

I think somebody that has the space and the time could fix it. We don’t have the space or the time.

yeah, it'll be totaled based on the pics, that inner fender support would have to be totally replaced and possibly some suspension stuffs.

Probably $6-7k worth of work by a body shop.

Shitty when stuff like that happens. The insurance rate hike from my wreck in Jan 2017 just came off the insurance policy this past June.

I'll have a Honda self propelled for sale in a couple weeks. Will need to cut the grass one last time as a courtesy for the new owner.
