‘Dad Shred build thread’ double locked & 5:29’s SOLD, now 2014 tundra cm TRD OR

Did all this work & the axle isn’t seated fully. Need to fix that tomorrow.




Fixed it today.

 

Got the other side done. Test drive - truck feels & sounds really great, smoother & quieter than before.

 

IVE WANTED A LARGE DRIVEWAY EXTENSION MY ENTIRE LIFE AND NOW I HAVE ONE GUYS IM SO THANKFUL!!!! It’s so nice to have people over and they can park here or I can shuffle cars to this spot while I work in the garage or driveway. Double gate is going in where you see the pallets, so I can even park a vehicle on the side yard behind the gate if needed.

 

Fancy.

 

Relocated my backup camera. The new bumper build meant it needed to be moved. This’ll do for now. Will see dirt very soon.

 

Side parking and trailer storage is the greatest!

Still love my full sized spare / HD bottle jack in the bed setup but I have decided to lay the spare flat instead of angled on top of the jack because it’s just a nightmare trying to throw some camping totes in the bed working around a big angled spare tire. With it flat - I have no problems stacking stuff on top of it. I moved the bottle jack next to the spare & it is locked in with the HD cable lock. This setup is even simpler and cleaner than before. Will keep it like this from now on. All loaded up for camping trip this weekend.

 

That's what I found too when I went camping with bobbed bed + angled spare. Just not a lot of useable bed space like that, unfortunately.

 

I hope the kid finds some good hills to bomb down on that bike!!!

Anytime it’s hella impressive.

 

I wanted to bump the trucks travel to see how everything looked back there with the 7100’s. This was helpful because I know I still have a ton more droop travel on the DS, the shackle wasn’t even fully dropped out. & the PS shock only had a little over 1” left before bottoming out and you can see my superbump spacer is already squished almost to full compression. I had a lot of camping gear in the bed (which I NORMALLY NEVER HAVE). So that adds to it also.

 

PS flush with Theo. Steering feels lighter and smoother imagine that. Not sure if it’s been done on this truck or how long ago. Topped off my coolant overflow also because it’s been looking rather low for a while now. I realize it fluctuates.

 

Ha, my boy has the same shirt plus matching shorts.

 

YES so does my son. They’re his PJ’s. I didn’t want any of his other clothes getting covered in dirty PS fluid hahaha

 

Couldn’t be happier with the way the rear end of the truck articulates. This is def full droop travel on DS, with the shackle fully horizontal & the PS has just an inch of shaft showing at full stuff (with my superbump squished down pretty hard).

 

Were you near pine top AZ? I coulda sworn I saw your truck driving through there around this time
