i think if your motor is up to full operating temps you shouldnt have a cold seizure issue with the rotors. this is a hypothesis, not tried and true.

This probably doesn't work for systems other than Aquamist but it helps you get into the ballpark for what is needed.

At the same time my truck is similar mod wise to a lot of others (still have stock y-pipe, rear cats and exhaust) and desired cc/min meth flow would be the same for similar trucks even with different meth systems.

The Aquamist formula takes the total cc output of all the injectors, takes a 15 to 20% (you choose) of that value as the desired mix for methanol/water to fuel, adds another 10% for pump losses through the system. Then it takes meth pump pressure and subtracts boost pressure (I have to guess cause I never invested in a boost gauge) and uses a graph to find what Injector size is needed. Then says to allow for some headroom as the system can be throttled down to fine tune.

What's a ballpark peak boost number for most of your trucks? Especially if at around 3400' elevation.

Asking for a friend who doesn't have a boost gauge. :anonymous:

I really need to get one one of these days.

I am at 2200' and hit 10.2lbs last night on my 2.5. That is with catless exhaust. URD headers, JFR ypipe, and TRD catback

15psi. Maybe more if it's extra cold.

Well using 10 psi as boost (even 15 psi doesn't really change the overall result) my calculations are that I require about 600.6 cc/min.

So going through the charts and with some adjustment math I need to bump both my jets up a size and throttle down the max flow a bit with the controller.

Interesting, that is somewhere where i hope to be around when i get the #6 nozzle. I turned up the #5 last night to start at 5lbs with full spray at 6lbs and it didnt bog at all, so i think i can throw some more at it without issue. Having UCon cut fueling on the top end is pretty nice too, makes it fool proof

Indeed. Now that I'm at 900ml/min with that new nozzle installed, I think I'm well over what's "needed". But I like high numbers obviously.

I think you can. It's never been boggy for me either.

What's the earliest RPM you have yours set up to start spraying at? IIRC you have a progressive system as well

I'm at 900ft and right at 10psi max boost on 2.5 running URD headers, JFR y-pipe, 3" banks monster exhaust with one hi-flow cat for the odor

The stage 1 system with the 225ml/min nozzle is set to activate at 7psi. Obviously that's a constant spray - the stage 2 system is set by MAF and if I'm at WOT it'll start spraying at around 2600rpm, progressing up to full blast at 5V, which is around 5000rpm.

So. AEM v3 nozzle review. Seems to have made a difference. Noticeable when the progressive system kicks in. Obviously that's butt dyno but it does feel like there's a bigger surge in torque. I really bought the nozzle as a safety feature though, I wasn't hoping for some crazy power difference.

Or maybe it's the sporty new seats making me feel faster... idk...

I may be able to get a discount but I have to install my system first and test it.
After that I will contact Snow to see what they can do for us.
