Is there an alternate part for the fill plug anyone is aware of?

Have you confirmed this? I thought that PN was for the rear fill plug not the front?

It will also work for the front... same thread, just uses a 24mm socket for R&R.

Guys.....just don't gorilla arm tighten the plug.

Its a drain plug, not a structural frame part. Snug it up to seal and all will be good.

I recently had to use the hammer/chisel method on mine. Replace with OEM plug. Tightened it like I do the oil pan plug, then a little more. Done. I'm sure it is nowhere close to the recommended torque spec...... its tight enough to not leak.

Are there any issues with using an impact gun with a quality socket (10mm)? I'm older and I might not have enough ass to break the drains/fills free.

Impact may work well. Suggest to have a replacement plug on hand......just in case things go poorly. Maybe even have a 3 lb hammer and cold chisel handy.

I used an impact gun on mine. I first gave a quick blast to tighten/shock it, and then did the loosen, worked great.

My local SoCal Lexus dealer has PN 90341-A0002 for $19. They didn't have the other PN on this thread. It definitely seems worth it, hoping to pick one up soon.

I replaced both of mine when I did my last differential oil change. Used the Lexus one for the drain and Dorman, 090-042CD, for the fill level plug. The Dorman plug was only $4 at the local auto store.

    - ICON UCAs, BP51/Kings, SCS wheels, 285s, Leer 100XR canopy. Greenlane aluminum winch bumper, Smittybilt X20 winch. Trying Falken AT3w now, Really like BF KO2s.
its' great not having to deal with the Allen head. I had the dealership put the Lexus drain plug in, now its easy for me.
