Doesn't look like a lot of action on your thread... so here's a BUMP and in the mean time you might want to check out this thread.

You'll find all kinds of stereo upgrades and most are 2nd gens. As for the details of each HU I always liked looking at Crutchfield brochures or online as they have useful sorting functions. BestBuy.com has good sorting functions too. Good luck.

Here's mine. It's an older Pioneer. Works and sounds great!

The ipod is connected with a wire that comes out of the back of the HU. It's wired into the glove box and is controlled thru the head unit. The HU has an add-on bluetooth available, but I do not have that.

It also has an Aux. jack in the rear. I used that to connect my Sirius Sat. Radio.

It's hard to see, but I also lined the inside of the storage cubbie with peel and stick black felt. Makes a perfect spot for sunglasses.

That looks exactly like what I'm looking for. I'll be doing something very similar in the coming months. I'll take a snap or two when done. Thanks.

I got the Sirius radio bracket from Crutchfield.

I like having the Sat. Radio dock because I have a boombox in my office at work, so I can take my Sirius radio with me. :D

The bracket is really nice and comes with the swivel mount. It's in a perfect spot. Does not block anything on the dash and it's still within arms reach.

Thanks, I thought so too. :D Makes a nice soft storage area for my Oakleys.

It's easy to do, I just use a regular office file folder to make templates of each side, the back, and the bottom. Then traced out the templates on the peel and stick felt, and cut out the pieces.

One sheet was enough to do the cubbie and cost me $.99. I got the peel and stick felt at Michaels crafts store. I've also seen it other fabric/craft stores.
