    have 2019 2.7L double cab 5ft bed 2wd Tacoma.

I've done my research on here and want second opinions?

installing ready lift 1-in cast iron rear blocks.

1, do I need to extend my brake lines for a 1-in rear lift?

2, can I use factory oem shocks with 1-in lift? ....with any issues?

btw.... I'm not an off-roader just simply raising my truck for looks and larger tires...

read on multiple forums that for a 1-in block lift you "do not need" to extend brake lines? true or false

also: seen videos on YouTube people installing a 1-in block in the rear using existing Tacoma shocks.

    Answer to your questions:

    1. Extended brake lines- No you don’t need it

    2. Can you use factory shocks. Yes you can.

Anything over 2 inches in the rear, you’ll want to consider those things however.

Have fun OP. Good luck to you.

Imo get a aluminum block. That cast iron one is going to rust unless you coat it with a nice durable urethane. They do make 1” Add a leaf also research it.

Not surprisingly, I’ve heard the exact opposite. That the aluminum blocks turn to powder from galvanic corrosion (dissimilar metals) and you have to forever tighten your u-bolts because aluminum metal has the property of “cold flow” and squeezes out from under the leaf pack over time. I’ve been strongly advised to only use steel blocks.

I'm going with Steel for strength wise.

question: if I go in the future with longer 1" inch shocks like Bilstein or eibach.
does that mean the shocks are 1" inch longer or they travel 1" inch longer than stock?

reason for asking: even with longer 1" inch shocks do I still have enough brake line without any problems?

since, I'm assuming : longer travel shocks, travel 1" inch "downward further" or more than oem shocks. (meaning) it stretches "brake lines" 1" inch "downward further" or more! than oem shocks...do I still have enough brake line? ...any problems there???

Brake lines will be fine with 1” block.

Factory blocks are cast iron. They are cheap and durable. If rust is a concern, spray paint is an option.

If it’s a sold block, the frame will rust over than the block.

don't use aluminum. it compresses and you lose the preload on the ubolts.

Iron, and don't worry about the brake lines, shocks or diff/shaft angles. Not enough lift to affect either.

Use steel as others have said. Paint it with POR15. No worries with rust.
