I'm curious, assuming you have something to compare against (previous tacoma, or another vehicle entirely)... how much vibration do you get on the highway, anything over ~55?

I ask because my TRD OR (2020) vibrates what seems to me to be a lot... certainly more than my 2015 SR5 ever did. However, the SR5 was on all season Bridgestones, where the OR is on the stock kevlar goodyears. My assumption is that a lot of what I'm feeling is tire bounce, but I'm really not sure.

I don't feel anything unusual with my 2019 SR5, and I've put in a lot of miles over the past 50 years.

My truck vibrates on my whole commute every day, then again California highways suck and this issue has nothing to do with the truck.

I think you missed the part where I do not have an sr5, which is relevant.

The OR has very squishy suspension where as the other models do not.

Roads here are horrible as well, could certainly be it... Big sidewalls combined with soft suspension and lots of bumps.

I love my sr5 on the highway at speed. It cruises fine just like my gen1 tundra did, and that wasn't a bad truck. Its on the rougher secondary state highway roads where the speed limit is below 50 mph the truck rides rougher due to the crappy maintained asphalt surface.

Have you tried a tire rotation to see if that changes anything? Or had the tires rebalanced?

That's where I'd start if you think the amount of vibration is excessive.

    Try different tire pressures.

Just rotated. No real difference. If the vibes had moved around, I'd get them balanced, but I didn't notice any significant (or really any) change.

I run the standard 30psi. Any suggestion on an alternative?

Oh you have nothing to bitch about. Come over to Michigan if you want to experience bad roads- hell we doesn’t even have to look for a trail to ride on - just pull out on any road around here and you are likely to need 4 wheel drive. Our worthless Governor even ran her campaign on “Fix The Damm Roads” of course she hasn’t done shit about them...

For what it's worth .. New 4x4 SR on the factory Firestones... I've had it up to 80 mph (In Montana) and it rides smooth as silk at any speed. (As 'smooth as silk' goes for a truck suspension.. ;))

Bump your tire pressure up to 33psi. That’s where mine rides nice .

No vibrations, just under 25,000 on 2018.
