i am hesitant on spraying my entire truck now..
Mainly because i found this "at-home" bodyman who has painted several co-workers vehicles for decades. It is not the best match but the durability of his work seems very good. He quote $1,100 to paint my bed tail gate and roof in Toyota raven black. 10L of the tintable raptor liner in bright white is $550 and the cheapest 10x17' portable garage ("paint booth") from harbor freight is $200. Factor in tape, sanding pads, adhesion promoter, etc and i will be almost $1,000 into a raptor liner job.

i quickly referenced the U-pol youtube page and practiced on a piece of plywood. i tried 40 to 60 psi and settled on 55 psi for most of it. I dialed the brass nozzle almost all the way out. I'm embarrassed to say that i finished spraying it in the dark.

That seems steep for 10L of Raptor. We only had $200-ish worth of Raptor tintable to do my GF's entire FJ, and that left behind like 6 unused bottles.

What are you doing the liner for? looks or protection? If I wanted to change the color I'd look at a whole vinyl wrap too. For a tacoma probably a bit more expensive but also not adding the weight of the liner to your truck.

I have like 3-4l left from my kit, it’s tintable as well. If you want it and the Hardener I have left for it I’ll send it to you for the cost of shipping. If you want a black with metallic flakes I can send the tint I have leftover too

    See my old thread
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/would-i-regret-bed-lining-my-truck.665062/

I appreciate the offer but isn’t there a 6 month shelf life?

I have passed my good weather window where I would consider spraying my entire truck until next spring

A decent vinyl wrap is expensive though and, I guess depending on your skill set, not overly DIY friendly. I’d plasti dip the whole vehicle before I tried to wrap it. The new dip kits seem to hold up decently well and are easily removed if you need to.

It is tintable, so I still have a bunch of plain black pigment to add to it.

I just have a LOT of stuff to line on the truck.

On a car is like 2k, truck probably more. They're DIY-ish, they're not terribly difficult but they're time consuming.

Derp works too. I did my wheels a few weeks ago and it feels stronger than I expected it to, I'd consider doing a whole vehicle that way.

    R3s or a studded one?

I'm excited for the first storm. I get to play with 4 Auto in the snow AND get to see how good Nokian tires really are.

Discount Tire. I was between them and Tire Rack. Tire Rack had the Conti Vikings, that were rated pretty well, but the Hakkapelita's just have a better, long standing reputation of being awesome. The money was very close between the 2, like inside of $20.

You run some dryer vent tubing through the back window to heat the truck?
