    A battery powered drill worked perfect for me. Very quick and easy.

    TRD S/C, UCON, 61# inj, 2.5 pulley, 7th inj, Roostfactor Y Pipe, URD exhaust, WAT Nomad Valve body, Dana 60, DK LT, JD FAB LCA mounts, custom roof rack...and way too many others.
    So, it is easier to do the pulley swap and snout cut with the supercharger out of the engine, but the shavings you need to be concerned with are the ones that could be sucked into the housing while you're shaving the snout. When it's on the engine both sides of the supercharger are sealed. Just be aware of them and take proper precautions. Only takes 10 minutes to cut the snout. Its a relatively painless job.

    just be verrrrrry careful. by hand it take 30-60 minutes and honestly the safest way to do it. Ask me how I know but you do not want that bolt to break in the snout. It is a real PIA to get out.

    I did it on the engine and put some shop towels all around it so I would limit any shavings. When you do it by hand the shavings are more controlled as well.

    NO DRILLS to cut the snout!

    I'm saying this to save you costly time and heartaches of having to attempt to remove broken bolts and in @nudavinci64 's case weeks worth of issues and then having to have sleeves custom made to fit over the snout to keep the extractor drill bit aligned true and straight. It can get real ugly real fast if you aren't careful, so NO DRILLS!

    A drill is fine on a low speed setting. The only potential issue would be if you have a dull snout cutter. No issues at all for me with a sharp cutter.

    Edit: I used a non-impact drill. I have a video somewhere of when I cut mine with a standard battery-powered drill

    Whatever you guys want to do.. I can't tell you what to do, but impacts and drills for me on these snouts are a no no. Normally imna huge proponent of impacts and air or battery powered tools, but in this case slow and steady wins the race, at least for me.

    As for the sharpness of the cutter, obviously the easier it is to cut the sharper it is. If you have a sharp one, that would be the most ideal and make the entire process a little easier to do.

    I used a small ratchet when cutting my snout down and it only took maybe 25 minutes. Make sure you have the cutting blade on the snout cutter facing the right direction or it will take forever. Mine went pretty quick, pressing on the pulley was a little more difficult but still very doable. If i can do it, so can you

    Putting the right amount of pressure on the blade with the spring goes a long way to speed things up too. make sure you have it snug but not tight

    I used a drill on mine. Just like anything else, don’t go cowboy on it. Take your time and be accurate.

    I also used a drill and had no problems. If you're prone to breaking things, skip the power tool. If not, it can be done safely.

    Very true but also be careful with any high powered drills, hammer drills etc. just the word to that wise. it wasn’t all that bad manual but yes my mistake is everyone else’s blessing hahaha
