    What's up everyone,

Here's my Tacoma "Daily Driver 'DD' build." Realistically speaking, it's not much of a build. I bought the truck back in 2015 and it was completely stock. Since then, it has been my daily driver and dirt bike hauler. Just like everyone here, I can't leave my car(s) stock, so I've been adding small mods here and there. As I add or change things, I'll update the post. Hope you guys enjoy...

OMG gorgeous! I had a 2008 Rad Red prerunner too, but it was having some clear failing by 2012, did you repaint? Love it so clean.

    Thanks!

Thanks, man. Yeah, I repainted the truck when I did the 12+ front end. The clear coat failed on the hood, roof, and mirrors some time ago so it was a perfect time to do the entire truck.

Thanks, dude. I still have them. They're up for sale, but I've been low balled like crazy. I have no rush to sell them, so i'll hang on to them until i get a serious offer.

This is hands down my favorite taco on here! The color combinations are perfect and your upgrade choices are modest with just the right amount of punch - nicely done sir! How do I nominate this beauty for the 2021 Tacoma World Calendar?

Love your build! definitely the inspiration for my DCLB going forth

Could you ballpark some numbers of how much you spent on the conversion and how much of the truck did you repaint?

Lol, Thanks dude! Much appreciated. However, I'm not sure if it fits the calendar standard. My truck is a OEM+ build, nothing fancy..

Thanks bud. Post a link of your build, I'd like to follow the process.

As far as the front end goes; the hood was $350 (dismantler, used), the front bumper, bumper fillers, stock grill (sold insert, kept surround), support brackets and crash bar was $275 (Craigslist, used). The gunmetal pro headlights were about 390ish (dealer, new) and the pro grill was $390ish (dealer new).

Little over $1,400 for everything listed above. Had I bought used headlights and stuck to the base grille, I would have saved myself a nice chunk of change. I made some money back when I sold the old front end for $600 and then resprayed the entire truck since my clear coat was shot. It was a much cheaper solution than upgrading to a newer taco. It looks like a new truck and best of all, I don't get stuck with payments :headbang:.

 Beautiful Rad Red conversion. Now you need to do the complete interior and upgrade that as well. Once you've done that, you'll really have a new Tacoma. Rad Red's are extremely rare to see that are in mint condition. I've seen a few Rad Reds in the wild and a majority of them have faded or unappealing to look at.

I'm good how the truck's interior is. I can't justify spending more $ Lol.. But I agree. Most Rad Red trucks are in bad shape. Doesn't help red absorbs the sun's rays and toyota used cheap paint.

Never been a huge fan of the 2nd gens, but wow does yours look great! That red looks really good. Love the em1 too! I had one for a little while. Completely stock 2nd owner. Sold it when I bought my taco. Kinda wish I wouldn't have.

    Thanks, appreciate it.

Awesome EM1. At times I regret going all out on mine. I miss the simplicity of it. Because of that, I find myself looking for a completely stock example to daily, but they no longer exist.

Had you kept your EM1, you would have had a nice savings account. They’re going up in value like crazy right now.
