Falkens are where it's at, but stock tires will be fine for your first winter. Just be smart about your driving and remember that slamming on your brakes in the snow is useless.

The stock Goodyear Wranglers on my OR were fine last winter; I never had any problems. I upgraded to BFG KO2s this year more for off-road driving than snow, but I expect an overall improvement. If you're looking for tires just for winter and not 4 seasons, I'd recommend a winter tire with softer rubber for road driving. They'll make a bigger difference on snow and ice for control and braking.

Thanks for this information. I am not planning on having a specific winter tire, I would prefer 4 season. I am definitely looking at the KO2s.

I have a 2015 DCLB SR5. I think the Off-Road one has the larger tires as stock.

On the 3rd gen, they all have the same final diameter, only difference is wheel size

Falkens are super popular. KO2's are still pretty popular as well, and I had good luck with them.

I'm on Toyo AT3's and they're fantastic so far. I can't give a full review until I get them in the snow, though.

To each their own really. I currently run Cooper Discover Maxx, I like them, however, I'm sure I would of been just as satisfied with something a little cheaper.

Unfortunately I can't give you any real world snow experience, I run dedicated winter tires. I can tell you though that they seem like nice tires so far. done lots of highway and lots of gravel and some mud as well and they've done just fine.

Which model of Wildpeaks are you running? I called my shop this morning and he quoted me about $800 installed, which seemed high.
