I’m getting ready to take the plunge and tune my 2020, and I wanted to see how many tuned miles everyone has. Cast your vote and let me know what your favorite tune is or anything else I should be aware of.

I'm over 40k miles with the tunes. My truck has had zero issues running the various iterations to 2.0 that I run now.

Awesome. That is very encouraging. I’m guessing the tunes may actually extend the life of these motors as they definitely have some little issues from the factory.

I don't know about extending the engine life but it definitely drives better and gets better gas mileage.

Shifts better, performs smoother, every tune release has improved and now with VFTuner we can tweak for our own setups.

Remember, this engine is basically a de-tuned Lexus engine. Forged crank and rods. Tune that sucker and don’t worry. Worth every penny.

not sure exactly, I'm probably 40-50k on it since the first alpha file for MT when Mat showed up and began to develop it. @Shellshock is gonna be the King here. King of... oh nevermind.

Im interested in this too as i recently ordered the vF. I was on the fence for the longest time, but decided to take a chance. Im planning to keep my truck for at least 10 years so we shall see.

Im thinking of running FOB premium OL tune.

nobody will know but i can say it runs so much smoother and requires so much less effort to drive at the throttle than any stock version i tried, hands down.

Pretty sure @Shellshock has at least 100k with the tune by now

Any of the tunes are a solid upgrade over stock. Most of us MT guys are running the SFOB tunes.

you’ve got a tuning pro nearby @tonered if you want someone to do it for you

That’s what I’m planning on running. I already run premium because the engine seems to run smoother with it.

Same, been running Shell 91 Ethanol free ever since the dealers gas was done. I have no problem paying a bit extra for a peace of mind, also i drive a work van during the week so no big deal.

Oh by the way, great color and transmission choice!:headbang:

I already bought the Tactrix cable and am ordering VFTune and tunes as soon as I get the cable, as I like to tinker. Out of curiosity, how do you know I’m near tonered?

I cant wait for the dead pedal feel to go away. Hard to revmatch smoothly and quickly at times.
