It's normal but there's a way to avoid it from happening...
Engage and disengage while coasting (foot off the gas pedal) while going straight.

Ditto. I've had my truck in 4hi more than not over the past week and I've put on a lot of city miles (snowy, icy roads) and highway miles (more snow and ice, never over 60-65mph).

Engaging into H4 from H2 has a recommended limit, as mentioned and as noted on your visor card and in the owner's manual.

Other than that... once in H4, there are no limits... But, since 4WD is only for low traction roads... just how fast were you planning to drive... are you in the Baja 1000?

Right... do not engage over 60... Once you are engaged then I see no limit mentioned.

I missed seeing a post about Sunday... where?

Ah yes, 2mph for H4 to L4. I knew it was something really slow. If you are going 2mph you might as well just stop. haha

Sorry for the confusion guys. I have a manual transmission with push button four wheel drive, therefore my transfer case lever is already in neutral and I can change for hi to low while in motion although it is not recomended per the manual to do so. Many of you guys already know this but for those who dont, Low 4 Use is for Climbing or decending down steep hills, off-road driving, hard pulling, or mud/sand or deep snow.

Yeah your right its already in high, as far as the stopping Vs Coasting issue I dont care, stop if you want to, we are just splitting hairs at this point I was simply stating that it was possible to roll while shifting.
